They're singing the National Anthem at the NFL Draft.

I hope they're doing it from their knees

Saw stories that Seattle might entertain signing Kapernick. Go ahead and make a joke of your franchise to make a political statement.

Why would that be amazing? Time and place. Time and place not everything needs to be politicized.

I agree, they do need more scoring. They're not bottom 6 but I believe that Konecny and Patrick bust out next season.
- MJL

On this team, they're clearly top 6 already. Both of their post ASG numbers are very impressive and, I think, a much better indicator of what we'll see next year. NP and TK scored at a 25 and 35 goal pace. If they can match that over a whole season, that will be fine. Giroux can't be expected to pot 34 again but Simmonds should bounce back and make up any shortfall there. I don't think it's unreasonable to look for another 30 from Couturier. Provorov and Gostisbehere combined for 30. That's a big number and I wouldn't pencil that in but we'll see more of Sanheim and he can generate offense. After that though I see a lot of question marks.

Yeah. Why can't these athletes protesting police violence have their protests in places where no one would see them

Meh. Not gonna get into a debate over it or anything but he's certainly better than at least half the back ups in the league. I have no issue with him coming back.

The eagles signed Michael Vick. If he was that good he would be signed. He’s a cancer and PR nightmare for a locker room. If you can’t see that then too bad.

Oh I should have added that if he does get signed then great but if I was an owner my GM would have a directive to not even think about signing him. CK is free to voice his grievances all day long. It’s any teams prerogative to sign him.

If you can’t see how the drama could affect a locker room when the press starts asking players about CK etc and there would be differences of opinion your misguided.

Just because you can point to one constant does not mean that is the single biggest reason why the PK has been poor. That's lazy analysis.
Execution on the ice is the single biggest issue with the PK and has been for a while. I see all the failed clears and bad reads, allowing players to get position around the net. Placing it all on Lappy is just unfair. He deserves some of the blame for sure, as does Hakstol but reality is, coaching is not really the issue with the PK. Still not a bad idea to have a new voice but what they really need is an upgrade in personnel and for younger players to get better.

- MJL

Not really, but nice attempt to egg me on.

I agree with you that some of the blame falls on the players, but when its been 4 years its time to turn to the coaching staff IMO. They're the ones choosing the personnel to use on the PK. 4 years is more than enough time to acquire players, if needed, to at least be league average.

That's because it's NFL policy. They have ridiculously strict clothing codes. I think it's stupid, but I believe it's part of their humongous big endorsement deals.

Players have requested wearing certain pieces of clothing for causes before and are routinely denied. Some guys do and just pay the fine.
