I was annoyed to no end when he was put back in the lineup and he ended up playing pretty well. just annoyed me more tho because why doesn't he play with that drive more often? - nastyflyergirl

You didn't like seeing Filppula and Lehtera out there with Manning and Gudas? Weak pkers my butt! That's stellar! - Giroux_Is_God
this is kinda what the opponents hope for
I mean this PK vs Pens top PP
They would score 60% of the time |

MacDonald is solid on the PK also but he shouldn't be on the top PK pairing. - MJL
Yes he was ok but it’s like playing with fire. When they are forced to play
Amac at 20 min a game and top PK it shows they aren’t there yet |

I know, they play the poop out of Provy and Couts because they have too. Need more depth guys that can get it done. - Marc D
Not really. Provorov ranked 49th and Couturier 174th in PK ice time per game during the regular season.

Wouldn't mind if Hextall kicked some tires on Bozak. Could play 3rd line C and provide much needed help in the shootouts. |

I don't like his age, though -- there's other guys out there if they go the trade route
To me, my opinion, they need to find a deal like the Ducks-Devils trade where the Ducks got Adam Henrique
No, I'm not saying the Flyers need to trade a defenseman, like the Ducks did. I mean targeting a good, mid-20s forward who has proven they can play a two-way game and kill penalties would be ideal
Won't be easy, but man. The right guy makes it all look different |

He's an option. The other guy who might fit the bill is Stajan or they bring back Filppula. It seems Hextall realizes he needs a vet there. If Minnesota blows things up with the new GM, Eric Staal's name was mentioned. You would have to give a fair amount to get him but his cap hit is a bargain. |

If Ryan O'Reilly wasn't so freaking overpaid, he'd be perfect for where he is in his career and where the Flyers are |

Yeah I wouldn't mind a move like that. Heck, I wouldn't even really mind if they used the 19th overall pick to get a young NHL player. |

To me, that's how you do it -- those picks are going to have serious value, if the STL pick doesn't roll over

I'd really like them to pursue signing Riley Nash. I think he'd be perfect for the 3rd line center spot. For full disclosure, I was turned onto him by others on this site. I didn't realize he was a UFA until then.

I don't see how a new GM there would change anything. Staal is coming off a 40 goal season and as you alluded to signed to great deal. Why would they trade him?

Ideally you want 3-4 players on your bottom 6 who can kill penalties. On your defense well depends a lot who is in the box if it’s a d man your rolling with 5 guys to choose from. Either way you want your best d guy out there to start and roll your mid to bottom guys out there in the last part of a PK. You really don’t want your top 6 out there very often because they log a lot of PP time and in a long gruelling 82 game season plus playoffs, you want your top players as fresh as can be imo. |

Him, too -- somebody from that profile who has proven they can check and skate, but with mileage left on their legs
Quite frankly, a guy like a young Flip -- I actually don't dislike him as a player, though I know it sounded like that. He is still a smart player. I understand why coaches, teammates, management like him.
His legs are just about gone for where the Flyers need to go next. I just want the Flyers to snag a guy like a Nash, a Faksa, an O'Reilly, whose legs aren't gone

I wouldn't aslo mind if Hextall took a look at Max Domi. I know he is a RFA, but was rumored to be shopped late this year. He could use a fresh start and would look good with Patrick |

This may have already been stated but here it goes...
I don’t care if we have to buy out lehtera or eat half his contract , get rid of him. I’ll glady let a prospect at 800k play center and be faster with more scoring ability along with the common screw ups then have that over paid sloth out there .
I don’t care if we trade Gudas for freakin bag of rocks , I want him gone. Replace with Sanheim period. End of story. Let him grow. I can take him making a mistake weekly. I can’t deal with a vet constantly screwing up and being out of position.
Manning ... yah no. Thank you but good bye.
Goalies... we may have to hold steady on those two. Damnit.
Weise.... find somebody. Anybody to take him, even at half salary. Replace with a kid who will actually play his heart out. If he screws up he better be back on the damn ice next shift no matter what. Gudas never seeemed to miss a beat after giving the pens the game.... on two turnovers leading straight to goals.
I want Morin playing as well. Don’t care how. Make it happen. Can’t be any worse then the dumb and dumber pair we had out ALL THE TIME!! |

He's on the last year of that deal and Minnesota might need to look to the future. It's a slim chance and the price would be steep, no doubt about that. Your guy Nash had a career year with 15 goals. He rarely tops double digits. Filppula had 11 and people are saying he's done. Bozak might be the best choice among the UFAs but he's not a huge upgrade. Remember that 3C becomes a top 6 C if Couturier or Patrick miss any time. You need the savvy 2-way play but you need some offense too. |

I would definitely have interest. That's one of those one where if you put the 19th overall on the table I think I might just do it. We really need a boost at LW. |

That would be a filthy little move, wouldn't it? I saw an interview where Chayka was kinda ambivalent about him -- said he wanted it to work, needed to see more
Arizona's funky like that. They ended the season on fire, and their future is clearly Keller, with Stepan in a leadership role and Strome hoping to make the leap
Domi might be a guy who, if you think you see the future, could look great on a Lindblom-Patrick-Domi line
