It was late, over 2 seconds from leaving the puck, its not impossible either. If your crappy fanbase can argue ANYTHING against Crosby when he is 'dirty' than same for Giroux. Don't pretend hes incapable of skilled cheap shots, he is and did 2 suspendable worthy ones in the series alone.
Try again, I'll wait for your response from the mini golf course where your kind frequents. - Guile
Every single player in NHL history has, at least at some point, made a dirty play. I actually don't think that Crosby is especially dirty, as I find Malkin and Letang to be much dirtier players.
Does Giroux made a dirty play from time to time? Absolutely. Does he go out of his way to try to severely injure people? No. Same applies to Crosby. |

I have no idea why we’re still talking about this hit. |

Have you watched Tampa play at all this season... They have 77 who is like Oleksiak Lite - Feds91Stammer
Hahaha he hits pretty hard. If I remember correctly he hit one of our guys in the early aught-teens and forced him to miss a lot of time but for the life of me can’t remember who it was. |

If you watched any of the games you would know why. The Boston/Toronto series was a dumpster fire. It made for interesting hockey but there was no structured play by either team... just a never ending scramble of turnovers and failed dump and chases. - MacPatty
I watched the games, and I'm quite familiar with the Lightning too, given that I live in Tampa. Tampa isn't exactly a "structured" team either. They take penalties, they turn pucks over in their own zone, their defense is suspect, and they gave up 34 shots per game to a team that couldn't score. |

You "pressure" guys should give this a listen, about 10-12 minutes in, Biz and Whits talk about "pressure" or "nervousness." Basically saying it's a narrative that fans/media make up and that the fans feel more pressure than the players do. They essentially said what I was thinking, as soon as the game stars, it's outta their mind and it's just another game. |

I thought Chara looked completely outta gas last night. He's a freak so I'm sure any rest will help him.
Vasy looked like he was pretty good last series. The rest they've gotten would only help him. He looked worn out at the end of the reg season.
Rask has gotta be better. I don't think Tampa is gonna go 5+ mins without a shot every game.

They're just saying what they have to...you think theyre going to say they feel pressure ?
EDIT: it is true though that once a game (or performance) starts you lose alot of the nerves. I've experienced this many times in sports and being a musician playing for crowds. |

They don't "have" to say anything. It's their podcast. They say whatever the hell they want, and they don't sugar coat poop. They aren't catering to any big wigs or radio companies or anything. |

Those two scrubs might not know or feel pressure but someone in Ovi's position will. Generational talent with no cup and never made it past 2nd round. |

I believe that Bissonette is speaking for himself but when has he ever been a guy put in a pressure situation? Of course he never felt the pressure because any time a game mattered his ass was sitting on the bench, no pressure there.
Every player who is put in pressure situations feels nerves and pressure. Look at guys that go on scoring droughts... many times they are hearing it from the media and fans and struggle more because of it. Then all it takes is one goal for them to get their confidence back and start scoring at a regular clip.
Look at Gardiner last night. He had a pretty solid season, but game 7 he is playing as their top D man and he looks completely lost, like it was his first game. That is the pressure of being in a game 7 playing for the Maple Leafs.

I don't think Ovie feels the pressure but his teammates sure as hell do. He is just the puck shooter guy for Washington. He won't go in the corner and retrieve the puck or commit to playing defence so he just runs up and down the ice trying to get shots.
So when a team is shutting his shooting lane down, his entire team tries to find ways to get him the puck. Occasionally he goes to the net, which is good but he will never win a race to the puck and take a hit. That's why they have never made it past the second round. |
