I'd want Florida's 3rd also

this is an extremely complex deal, we must be very cautious with our negotiating.

If we blow it up this offseason, trade RoR, Risto, Reinhart and others...I'll be done. I won't watch another 5-6 years of this.

Teams go from worst to first all the time in a relatively short time. For all you hoping for major changes every off season, you deserve this team IMO.

tear it right down to the studs is open to interpretation. Im not sure how he feels about those three in particular.

worst to first is an exaggeration though. worst to playoffs, maybe. But in those cases, big moves were made.

Josh Rosen on interest from Bills: "I had a great visit with them. A lot of fun. If they want to pick me, they’ll pick me, and I would love to be in Buffalo."

Will Josh Rosen's attitude cause him to slide in the 1st round?

"He's going to be the 4th QB taken and I don't think that means a thing. I think he might be the best of all of them."

Josh Rosen on when he's selected: "My game is not to get picked as high as possible. My game is to go to the right team. Success is long term. I’d rather have Tom Brady’s career than get picked first overall and have a four-year career."

"tearing it to the studs"

See you guys in 2020, maybe. I don't need to see 8,000 posts with Gerbe running around naked screaming about tanking for the 1st overall pick regardless of the chances of actually getting it for 2-3 more years.

- TheSabresTaco

Right there with you. My breaking point is ROR + Risto both being moved for futures. If that happens, Im out

Colorado went from last place to a playoff team in one season. Toronto turned around quickly. Columbus turned around once they smartened up. In all those cases, moves were made, but they did not blow it up between seasons by any means.

Why is it we cannot do what other teams have done?

They moved Duchene for a haul didn't they?

Toronto moved Phaneuf, Kessel and both their goalies before their turn around

The Jackets had a core in place, allowed them to make key hockey trades like Johansen/Jones and Saad/Panarin. Having one of the best goalies doesn't hurt either.

Our core is a mess, yet people are afraid of a significant move. Columbus is one of the models for what we need to do.

not sure i agree with that because in their case it was a group of core players, just didn't mesh well.

This isn't the same. This is maybe 2 or 3 core guys and a couple being played and paid like core guys who really aren't

I don't think Risto or ROR could get you someone like Panarin or Seth Jones. In ROR's case it's mostly because of the cap hit.

Good thing is, I still think teams would value both 55 and 90 as core pieces.

I think both would get a good return

Myles Garrett was just on NFL Network. And he Said the Browns should not draft Chubb he’s not good

The Browns need to shut up their players lol

Duchene is one trade. If we're talking one trade, then this is nonsense. I'm talking about blowing up the roster again.

Phaneuf and Kessel were big trades from TO, but notice that none of the players acquired are even part of this current team? Nick Spalling, Jared Cowen...none of them helped turn it around.

Lastly, with Columbus, they were making hockey trades...not trading RyJo for futures.

In all these cases, the teams that succeeded did three things: they drafted well, they hired tenured coaches to ease in their young players and they made hockey trades to balance their rosters.

What we are doing, or some are hoping we do, is draft a lot, fire the coach every couple seasons and trade legitimate players for picks. Not the way to do it.

the first helped them land andersen. Kasperi Kapanen plays on the current leafs team. And cap space helped them make other moves.

Don’t see any reason to give a roster spot to an average (at best) player like Pouliot going forward

He’s ok, but doesn’t really bring anything to the table that actually makes us better

So it makes MUCH more sense to let the kids battle it out for that spot in the lineup

Trade Jack, he can probably get you a top 10 pick. Not sure with the cap hit though and his inability to stay healthy.

Screw it, waive em.

I'm not as sure on that.

Ristolainen has more or less been outed. Both on and off the ice if anything hamilton and co have said are true.

ROR, maybe. But i still think he likes him

Ok with Andersen, but Kapenen had 9 pts this year. He didn't help turn them around.

Still think the Andersen trade is different seeing as they took a potential future and traded for a player. We're trying to get top10 picks for RoR so we can wait another 3-4 years.

This would be ideal for the Bills IMO

https://draftwire.usatoda...rojections-with-trades/3/

We would trade up for Rosen at 7,
and still not have to give up pick 22
(want absolutely nothing to do with Allen,
and not psyched about Darnold or Jackson)

*there’s just different guys I’d prefer at pick 22
WR Ridley- would be a no brainer if available
DE Davenport- we need a pass rusher badly
LB Evans- can play ILB or OLB
DT Bryan- to take over for Kyle Williams

Every team in the NHL would take Risto back there. He'd be a huge improvement for the Hawks and their aging blueline.

I don't dispute that, i dispute whether they'd treat him like a core player
