It's certainly their best chance in years to have a franchise QB. I'm not particularly knowledgeable about football, but I didn't love any of this year's QB's. I know a lot of Giants fans hate that they didn't take one to replace Manning, but I am personally over the moon about Barkley. That kid is a generational talent and the best player in the draft by a country mile.

Really tough to knock the Jets and Giants picks. Jets especially had to take Sam with that pick. Barkley should be a special player as well.

I guess we'll see what happens. I watched a few USC and UCLA games this year in anticipation of the Giants looking to draft a QB and, frankly, neither Darnold nor Rosen impressed me a whole lot. I think the Giants just weren't sold that any of the QB's were worthy of the #2 overall pick, so they took the best player available. I guess we, Giants fans, just have to trust in the new front office for now and hope that this one doesn't come back to bite them in the ass if one of Darnold/Rosen/Allen turn into a star QB.

A lot of people seem really pissed about it. I get it, but if they didn't think any of the QB's were good enough then they absolutely made the right call. Plus Barkley is going to be a whole new dynamic for defenses to worry about. Nobody has had to care about defending the run against the Giants since Bradshaw was around.

I do not follow College so it's hard to know for sure on Darnold yet. I just think it was a no brainer for the Jets to take him and especially since they need a QB. I was not surprised with the Giants pick at all.

The Jets may have finally found a QB yesterday so it's the Isles time now.

that was me betting the Sharks last night. I was never more sure of a bet in my life. 7-0 I lost... sweet.

I hope you're right. I kind of question taking an RB that high. Loved Chubb and wanted them to grab him. They could have moved back into late first round and grabbed Michel who I think is really friggin good too if you wanted an RB.

Hopefully I am wrong and Barkley is a beast.

I finally watched the Spano 30 for 30. I will say that one thing that made me laugh was Mario losing a fortune with Spano. It almost makes having season tix through that idiocy worth it.

Not so sure why people have such a problem with Vegas. They are an incredible team to watch. Its like a pack of wolves out there chasing a meat puck. If I wasn't rooting for a Tampa 1st next year, I would definitely want to see Vegas win.

Jealousy. My crappy team couldn't even make the playoffs and Vegas is crushing it.

I hate Expansion and I hate the advantages Vegas were given and I hate it's Ex-Isles McPhee and Gallant who was not good enough to coach the Isles according to some Isles fans.

I disagree. You want an expansion team to succeed. Its how you grow the sport.

Even with the advantages they got, no one looked at that team on paper in the begining of the season and thought "Wow, thats a team that can compete for the cup!"

Gallant has to win the Adams. I just wish the taxi he got into after he got fired, Gorts was driving it.

How good can this team be when the Isles beat them twice?

You should be upset mdw that Ex Ranger McPhee is having this success and is not Ranger GM instead of Gorton Fisherman.

This is the 1st playoffs I'm enjoying in 7 years. No way I'm worrying about stuff like that. Just wish the Caps would knock out Pitt. That would be the only thing that will absolutely piss me off. The Pens in another SCF

You figure the Caps have to solve the Pens one of these years, but then again it's the Caps. I'll be happy when Dean or Lou are hired to run the Isles, the Isles will be everyone's daddy and especially Vegas.

Definitely would go a long way to fixing some issues.

Holtby has never made it past the 2nd round.
