Hoping Wilson ends Crosby’s career.
- RafiDRW

I'm hoping Wilson and Letang simultaneously cheap shot each other so hard it ends both of their careers.

After Crosby, though, right?

Nah. I don't want Wilson to have the satisfaction of ending Crosby's career.

Maybe the Pena will sign Gudas and an “accident” in practice will curb Crosby’s career.

Look at the atmosphere in Vegas why wouldn't jt go there? No taxes, he's the man, they are good.
- Upstate_isles

Why would Vegas want JT? They are doing fine without a huge contract on the books...

If I were him I'd run away from Snow and this half-assed franchise as fast as I could. However, maybe he likes mediocrity and playing in two "home" arenas for 3+ years.
- JimmyP

And that belies the problem. This is a half-assed, clown show of a franchise. Who would want to come & take this crap sandwich over? I don't see any respectable, successful or competent person coming any where near this dumpster fire. Especially with Snow having even a pinky on the reigns of this team. It'll either be Snow retained (regardless of whether JT re-signs or not) or some 2nd lieutenant from the North Bay Battalion. Someone that has no experience whatsoever so that Snow can "groom" him. Read that as still play GM but with a different title. Also someone that he can control and manipulate. Snow until 2050.

Burke out of Calgary May 1
TSN Hockey Insider Bob McKenzie reported before the announcement that speculation out of Calgary was the 62-year-old may move on to new ventures and challenges.
Thoughts anyone?

I'd love this to happen. I thought Lombardi had no interest?

After my joke tweet about Burke to the Islanders, a plugged-in source brings actual insight about the NYI search for a top hockey ops executive:

"The Isles are going with Dean Lombardi to be president. That’s the talk here..."

Take that as you will ...

Cannot argue with Dean or Lou. You would think if it's Dean he would not accept if Garth was still involved?

Yeah I went and looked. Interesting, especially considering that Friedman mentioned in his 31 Thoughts yesterday that he thought that Lamoriello seemed like a possibility for that job. Unless Deano would be the President of HockeyOps and Lamoriello would be the GM? Who am I kidding

If Lombardi comes in and makes a winner out of the Isles, he will go down as a legend in this business.

Reported last week that #Isles owners were looking for a top hockey exec. Completely understand the snickers and “I’ll believe it when I see it” reactions. Even got taken off NHL Radio by Snow and Co after the report.
I stand by what I reported.

You doubt Lombardi joining the Isles and making them a winner or both?

I doubt everything now. Not that I was ever a staunch defender of Snow, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt/optimism too many times. If/when the day comes that they do the right thing, that's awesome...but until then I won't put a shred of faith in the team to do the right thing.

The Jets may have finally found a QB yesterday so it's the Isles time now.

It's certainly their best chance in years to have a franchise QB. I'm not particularly knowledgeable about football, but I didn't love any of this year's QB's. I know a lot of Giants fans hate that they didn't take one to replace Manning, but I am personally over the moon about Barkley. That kid is a generational talent and the best player in the draft by a country mile.

PREACH, BROTHER!!!! It's why I'm constantly saying that Snow will remain the GM. Nothing this franchise does ever makes any sense or has any logic behind it. It's all lame excuses and crossed fingers. You have to give Snow a little credit. He's managed to con his way into keeping the GM gig this long.

Really tough to knock the Jets and Giants picks. Jets especially had to take Sam with that pick. Barkley should be a special player as well.
