If he is, you aren't going to get better because of it.

It took until February 8th for the canes to stop giving Marcus Kruger a regular shift and put him on Waivers, because Peters wanted him there.

Kruger averaged less than a shot per game with 11 minutes of ice time per night. He had more turnovers in 48 games this year than he had in 70 games last year. He scored one goal.

But Bill Peters kept putting him out there nightly, and it didn't get better until the management group started taking his toys away.

Bill makes no in season adjustments to his system. He also make no offseason adjustments to his system.

- BINGO!

We're fked. Here, let's hire the same coach but with less pretty hair!

Makes sense. One thing BP DOES do well is he likes to keep pairs of forwards together and then rotate an extra C out there with them, changing them out based on what side of the ice the faceoff is on.

Puts a crazy amount of emphasis on winning the draw.

- BINGO!

I don't mind the emphasis on winning draws actually! Despite the stats saying it's not really a big deal, I'm more in his camp on this one. Janko can use the extra draw reps in practice that's for sure.

He's got a memorial cup and international medals like gold too!!

Bingo can be a grump sometimes, so don't mind all the doom and gloom.

Oh. And the sky is falling in your world FYI

Probably on the wing with Gaudreau and Jankowski.

It's brutal. He splits guys up based on size and tries to puts a positive possession guy with weaker ones to try and balance it out so none of the lines get caved in at even strength, but it crushes the offensive abilities of those guys.

- BINGO!

But Carolina was #1 in the league for corsifor5vs5 were they not?!

Yes and they were also fighting for a playoff spot late in the season the last couple years, and they got horrid goaltending.

Although I am a little worried about our goalie situation

Me too. Mike Smith still has low mileage because it took him till he was 26 until he became a regular. I'm hoping another good season by him, will give our other goalies another year to grow.

I actually agree! Not sure what the rush was? You think he would have waited to see where the chips fall. Looks like Boudreau will be gone in Minnesota with the firing of Fletcher. May be others once teams get eliminated.

The rush was to be able to get someone like Peters and not have to settle for someone like Boudreau.

Well the way this is going his name should be put out there.....this team hasn't performed that well, I think the bulk of this is on him.

you’ve continued to put all the blame on the players , and now it’s the GM?!?!

I love the fact Peters already in his opening fcking presser has given a vote of confidence to Brouwer!!!

Okay now we need Edmonton to do something stupid... okay please hurry.

They signed a unproven KHL goalie to 2.5x2 today. 7.5m on goalies that might all be garbage next year. Pretty stupid if you ask me.

He definitely put any talk of a Brouwer buyout to rest. He definitely has more fire in the belly than Gully...no need for any fake temper tantrums !

Although I am not thrilled by Peters I am going to actually see what he does before I corcho.

When your goaltending sucks you make different decisions.

I am not going to spend the summer female doging before the puck has been dropped.

Yep they've consistently been one of the best possession teams in the league.

Their shooting percentage every years since Peters took over has been atrocious. They get lots of shots but rarely create good chances.

Boudreau has gotten his teams to the playoffs consistently and has an extremely good winning record, despite the playoff failures.

Peters has never gotten a team to the postseason at this level.

Boudreau had great rosters to work with and was routinely outcoached in the playoffs. Any NHL calibre coach could have made the playoffs given the rosters he's be given to work with.

The Capitals and Ducks didn't regress after they fired him, and the Wild weren't any better after they brought him in.

If the Flames or Canes had players who could actually score when put in a position to do so and their goaltending didn't suck, people would be praising Peters and Gulutzan.

The Canes were never in a position to score, is the problem. That's on Peters.
