If I were to bet, Rosen is their #1 and Allen is their #2.

I'm calling Darnold goes #1 to Browns. Stone cold lead pipe 3ER lock.

- Hatboro_Swords

I would love to see the Browns take Allen and Giants nab Barkley or Chubb.
That would force The Jets to pick between Mayfield and Darnold.
If the Bills get to 5, then they stay on the phone with the Browns until they make their selection at 4 so that no one else tries to trade up to 4 to cut the Bills out.
Cleveland would b3 Happy with having Barkley or Chubb available to them at 4 I would think (hope).

Fort Wayne owned cincy.. i should have gone to one of those games.

I didn't expect antipin to be back.. if he is back in the NHL i don't think it is in buffalo

- IndianaSabresFan

Antipin, probably doesn’t stay here...but maybe Botts and Housley talked to him at their meetings with him on what he needs to do to stick here and get more ice time.
It is still one of the weaker D units, so more opportunity on3 would think.

Now that Denver has announced the 5th is for sale, and apparently The Dolphins (who reportedly covet Mayfiled) and Arizona have called on it...
I think the Bills simply have to go to 5 to block those teams out...5 also makes the trade down from 2 and 4 much more palatable to the Giants and Browns respectfully.
( 4 only comes into play if the Browns call and say they hav3 an offer from a team behind 5he Bills at 5)

Go get ‘er done Beaner...Keep the Dream alive at #5!

Worry about the Patriots jumping, not the other teams. They are to quite and have 2 picks in the 1st and 2nd rounds.

Wouldn’t put anything past the Pats...
But their draft picks have far less value that Buffalo’s...so I have to believe the Bills control this situation, unless some GM just wants to screw the Bills and/or for some odd reason.

If Pats make an offer, I would have to believe the next action from the other GM is to call Beaner.

HAHAHA.

We're like oil and water Ion! For now that is how I feel, but if Baker is the pick, he'll be my favorite QB before the night's over.

Hopefully you all went to church on Sunday

F U Fitzy! you want Rudolph. His noodle arm doesn't match up with his body. Threw to receivers that had most separation in College Football History. He's a bum. Go to hell!

I was talking about Rosen BEFORE you

All I’ve said about Rudolph is that i like him
IF
we don’t trade up

You’re comprehension skills are lacking sir

EDIT

IF we do trade up,
I 100% want it to be for Rosen
I’ll be ok if it’s for Mayfield,
but i think he might fall to us
Darnold’s weird throwing motion makes me nervous & he just looked “average” to me too many times this year
If we trade up for Allen, I’ll be next to Gerbe ready to jump off the bridge
Not a fan of Jackson either. Idk if his athleticism will translate, or if he can play QB in the NFL. He’s got a lot of work to do
Rudolph doesn’t have a “noodle arm” either. He’s the most accurate QB in the draft. But he did play exclusively out of the shotgun, so he will need time to learn footwork & reading defenses from under center.

Trade up- Rosen
QB at 12- Mayfield, if he falls
QB at 22- Rudolph

No, but the league is trending towards QB's who aren't spectacularly accurate. They have designed offenses that suit their QB's strengths.

Deshaun Watson wasn't very accurate last year. Niether was Goff. Carson Wentz was 25th in completion %.

I don't like Allen, but you can design an offense around him

- sbroads24

That assumes you don't have a guy like, oh, Rick Dennison who refuses to do that, because his way is better, or Rex Ryan for that matter, just on defense, but if they get a head coaching role maybe they demand to run their offense the way it was on his last successful team regardless of the personnel on the new one.

U also can’t design an offense around a guy if he just isn’t any good

I watched like 5 or 6 Wyoming games this year
His lack of accuracy isn’t the only issue
He also doesn’t look like he can read defenses
And if the guy he wants to throw to is covered, he can’t decide what to do with the ball

Measurables are great...
but that doesn’t mean crap if u just can’t play the position

Well, he was good in many games too, especially two years ago.

Point is, we just don't know what these guys will look like in the NFL. Any of them.

Everyone is guessing.

Yeah, I would hope Daboll will be able to design something around who we draft.

The biggest difference between 16 Goff and 17 Goff was scheme. He still threw some awful balls.

Well then u can look back to BEFORE this season even started
& you’ll see how i REPEATEDLY brought up that Rosen was ranked AHEAD of Darnold, and that Darnold passed him bc Rosen got hurt

Been a fan of UCLA since i was a kid
and went there for a year

So u can pretend u were in on Rosen before me, but it’s just not true

I still have the game vs A&M on my DVR
That 4th quarter was freaking amazing
Thankfully, i taped the stupid wrestling show after too, bc the game ran over & i would’ve missed the last 5min of the amazing comeback

No I want to draft the best one, not the chance to draft one of the best ones.

Big difference.

McDermott and Beane are building something that could be great here. The culture shift was tremendous last year. If they strike out after moving up (assuming it costs a ton to move up) then all that work they did is for nothing because they are looking for a new coach and GM.

Rosen could be one concussion away from retirement
Darnold is the safe bet but does safe win championships?
Allen has huge bust potential
Mayfield is the guy I want but I understand and get the marks against him.

- Stripes77

It's really not, because it's the Eichel effect. If he was in almost any other draft he'd be like Dahlin this year, but because of the year he was drafted there was a better player ahead of him.

I'll take the guy who was a 2nd round pick early this season and is now talked about as the 3rd player off the board, the only player who had a season exceed expectations. People say "what about off the field stuff?" Winston did way more and still went #1 despite a shaky draft year.

U make it seem like it’s a coin flip
While we don’t know for sure,
educated guesses can be made

I DVRd every game on TV this past season from these QBs (and Luke Falk, who i also like)
I’m telling ya,
Allen looked like garbage 90% of the time
Idk what games he “looked good” in,
but they weren’t games broadcasted on Cable tv here
He had ONE good half in all the games i saw

That doesn’t mean there’s no way he can be successful...
but he also scares me more than anyone else bc i watched him play like crap over & over

Me too, but he is a member of the Nick Saban school where they teach you how to be the biggest egomaniac you can be.
