Add Asplund, Davidsson down the road.

We’re set down the middle

- sbroads24

And possibly Pu,
but I’ve heard he projects more as a winger

I’m just waiting for Hudson Fasching to become that 20 goal power forward and we will be all set
- sbroads24

Freaking dumbass Tim Murray!
Fasching might be able to become a decent net front scorer,
but i doubt if it’s with us with the way he skates

Even if we draft a wing, couldn’t we potentially get a D for O’Reilly? Or Sam, but O’Reilly is probably held in higher regard around the league
- sbroads24

Sure
Just not anyone of Dahlin’s talent level

Pretty small sample size at wing though
And it seems like they wanna at least start Mitts at 3C

U think they’d play E Rod at 4C?
I feel like he’d at least get a chance on the wing in the top9

- jdfitz77

The best thing about Erod is that he's versatile and can play up and down the lineup in a pinch. Slot him where you like, but it's likely to change regularly.

Why Joe Thornton is ready to prove doubters wrong in the playoffs

For years now, it’s been repeated ad nauseum that Joe Thornton is a playoff choker. The source of this narrative is easy to find: a seven-game series as captain of the Boston Bruins in 2003-04 against the Montreal Canadiens, when Thornton failed to record a single point.

So now that's all it takes to prove something? Hmmm...

Is there some technicality that can cause BOTH the leafs and the bruins to lose?

Probably, but I don't think it's by much. Players that average 22 goals a season over their first 3 on a team that can't score, in this climate, are held in pretty high regard.

Yeah, I think O’Reilly being a Center makes a difference though.

It all depends what team we try and deal with.

If it’s Carolina and they just have a surplus of d men and need a top 6 player, Reinhart makes sense.

If it’s St. Louis, VAN, MTL, O’Reilly makes more sense

almost identical numbers in regular season and playoffs

and they kept him in the locker room, didn't move him out

your move

Marleau and Thornton combined have almost
40 NHL seasons combined and 0 cups. Ovechkin can’t get past the 2nd round. Does it really matter how many points they get if it doesn’t amount to anything ?

That’s fair
I do actually agree with Sbroads that he was better at Center though

Unless we get some legit LWs,
it would be nice to at least see him get a shot with Jack
