Botta's next blog has to be about Lou being Shanny's lacky.

- ses111

Here's my take on this. Most of us agree that Snow will most likely be kicked upstairs (not me. I think he'll still be the GM. praying I'm wrong). Let's just say they bring in Lou and give him complete control of hockey ops. Snow would still be in the system. He would still have L&M's ear. You think with his ego he wouldn't do whatever he could to undermine Lou to make him look bad? To be able to tell L&M "look, he's been in this game a long time and couldn't do better than me." I think he'd stoop to an all time low to sabotage anybody that came in as GM just to make himself look better. Just sayin'

I'm not worried about Garth having L&M's ear. What is going to tell them. Look at my one playoff win in 12 years and forget Lou's Cups?

Why is everybody so against voynov? There is two sides to every story. How do you know he didn't come home after a long hard day and the steak wasn't cooked to his liking? Shat happens man

No shot. The only reason for keeping Snow is because of that so called contract. Probably give him a no show job for a year or two and then they will get rid of him IMO

All we can do now is hope and cross fingers.
You get what I'm saying about Snow being a snake in the grass though, right? It's just something I could see him doing.

I really don't think anything is going to happen.

Snow getting kicked upstairs is almost as bad as him staying in his current role. Nothing short of an outright termination is acceptable for me. Allowing him to keep his hands in the day-to-day operation of this team, in any capacity, is flat-out spitting in the mouths of fans.

Not what I'm saying. Snow is an egomaniac and a narcissist. He only cares about himself. I think he would do anything he could to make a new GM look bad. By virtue, that would make himself look better in the eyes of L&M.

Agreed. If you're paying him to do nothing just fire him and swallow the contract. The "kick him upstairs" theory makes little to no sense to me.

Agreed. Even firing him wouldn't be enough for me. I'd want him to "jump" off of the Burj Khalifa tower without any form of wind-catching device.

Nah, he'll move Weight to the GM chair, Snow to PoHO, & Gomez to head coach.

Garth will be a good little boy and play with his puppies and take his money especially if Lou is brought in. Guy has a funny way of showing he really wants this job. He could not even bring himself to make any meaningful moves in JT's walk year.

I don't even know anymore. There's simply too much that needs to be done to cram into one offseason. Obviously goaltending needs to be addressed in a major way, but the defense is an abject disaster, too.

I think if you can land a very good goalie like holtby you do it as he can cover for bad d at least somewhat
Remember going into the playoffs it was grubauer over Holtby and kinkaid over Schneider so if they could land either of those two it would be huge. That said both went back in when their replacements sucked. I would love either Schneider or Holtby as our starter that would be awesome

Somewhat is the key word in that sentence. The Isles D could make the very best goalies look bad.

True but I think a good goalie can help a d out more than a good d help weaker goalie . If they committed to playing team d even remotely and had a good keeper they would have made it this year
