Yesterday was Simmonds best game since the first game of the season. My changes in the off-season are:
Gone.. Simmonds, Filppula, Manning, Gudas, Mrazek, Leier, & Nuevirth. Shop around Weal and if you dont get anything send him to the phantoms.

Up from Phantoms, Morin, Martel, Frost, Hart or Sandstrom.

I think Lacynski is going to surprise and make the team if he come out of OSU

Moves needs to be made but i don't see Ratcliff or Hart starting with the big club. Frost has another year of juniors and I believe he would need to be phenomenal to make the club and not even sure that will help. i think they want him to play in the WJC and get that experience.

Certain guys won't be back. We know that. There could be a surprise move like when the Schenn trade went down.

Hart needs to play, be it in the AHL or NHL. Putting him on the bench would be a huge mistake.

Frost is most likely going back to Juniors. Hart or Sandstrom won't be ready for the NHL. I'd be surprised at Martel making it to the NHL but he has a shot.

five Stanley cups begs to differ with you. The flyers havent been relevant in 30 years. Your point is ridiculous
- bigdaddywaite

Oh, right. The welfare-enabled Cup runs. The purposely tanking not once, but twice in the franchise's history to snag Mario and Sid. Crosby/Malkin/Stall/Fleury at, what, numbers one and two, each pick? Please. Any Pens fan around since the 1980's knows the deal about the rotten core of the Penguins history and buries their head in the sand. The younger (Sid is God) generation turns a blind eye towards the team's sordid past. Two of the top six players of all time end up with a team that purposely lost to get them...disgraceful if you ask me. Your point, your post, your team is ridiculous.

I'm willing to go through the growing pains of having young players on the team. I think one of Hart or Sandstrom could be a viable back-up... if not then you go Stolarz or Lyons.

I think Martel is worth a shot, and Frost doesnt have anything left to learn in juniors. Lets get him here and see what we have to work with. Get Rubtsov into the AHL... Now is the time to get the youth moving...

I'll be curious about a kid like Laczynski if he signs an ELC. I know you like to get kids ready in the AHL but he seems to already play a pro game, has the speed and body to play in your bottom 6 and kind of played that role in the WJC for the US.(bottom 6, PK guy).

I see Martel as maybe a better Akeson. I think if anyone from the Phantoms forwards to earn a role is it could be Aube-Kubal as he plays a role the Flyers need.

I don't think Sandstrom is going to the AHL as I thought he got a new deal when he was traded in the KHL. thought he had one year there yet. So he will most likely be loaned overseas.

Have to think hart will battle for the AHL starter spot depending on who they resign.

I agree with MJL on this one. Hart will be with the Phantoms, probably for one full season. Frost will be back in the OHL, and play WJC as a 19 year old (he still hasn't turned 19 yet as his is a May birthdate). Martel will not be in the NHL. Aube-Kubel might. Rubtsov will be a Phantom.

Bill, any idea what they will do at 3C? Bring up a Phantom? Actually resign Filp?

We are getting no one from the forward ranks from the phantoms. Our best forwards are too young or in college. Wade Allison was on track to have a huge year, sign a ELC and make a legit run at the roster in the fall. But as we know, we can’t have nice things.

I don't think that is true. I think NAK and Vecchione have a great chance of playing on the Flyers. I could see NAK joining a bit later like after the first injury.

I don't think it is impossible that Frost makes the team, but I would guess he goes back

I saw Mario with Jagr lose a few games.

So was it better to beat the absolute shyte out of your more skilled opponents & win that way?

This current Pens team has been reconstructed as it needed to be. Good trades & good development are why the top picks From how long ago are going through a good run at the moment?

Your organisation is nearing a time where the development & trades will be vital - that will go with your #2 pick from last season! Or give him back so your rubbish can be sort of nearly a point.

Just a little thing, but I think i like Laughton on the wing more then at center. For some reason I feel he is more noticeable on the wing then when he is at center.

Aren't you sick your team drafted Matt Murray and Jake Guentzel when Anthony Stolarz and Tyrell Goulbourne were available? More evidence of the incompetence of your Organization.

Why would anyone want Hart or Sandstrom sitting as a backup? Frost is most likely going back to Juniors.

---Unsure of the relevance.

---Unsure of the relevance. Referring to B Street Bullies? Clarify.

This current Pens team has been reconstructed as it needed to be. Good trades & good development are why the top picks From how long ago are going through a good run at the moment?

---Conceding that astute drafting and trading has occurred. My main point is that the main building blocks were: Crosby/Malkin/Fleury/Staal. All either number one or two overall picks, positions granted due to the futility of the team in the preceding years. It's not arguable that the team lost purposely to land Mario. They then were horrid for several years leading up to the golden bonanza of drafting. Any team would be successful with that generous benefit package.

Your organisation is nearing a time where the development & trades will be vital - that will go with your #2 pick from last season! Or give him back so your rubbish can be sort of nearly a point.

---Flyers even were the worst team and landed the #2 overall pick instead of #1. So, the Patrick gift was, what, one in 50 years?

The Clarke article rings resoundingly true...we never tanked on purpose once, much less twice, as the Pens did. Where were all you people when the Kansas City move was in the news?

Sorry for sharing details of my life today. I didn't see the posted rule "never share a detail of your life on this forum or jealous trolls will malign you"

You should root for every Philly boy (or girl, or NastyGirl...for that matter) to do well. Do you not want me to tell you which NHL players I get to play golf with next?

There will be teams saying why they didn't pick a few of your players in a couple of years.
