So who do we pull for now?

Personally I’m rooting for a Nashville/Tampa final. Rooting for Lavs, obviously, and Tampa is an exciting team. Tampa is a great place to go watch a game too. Cool atmosphere outside the arena before and after the game. Inside is great too. Highly recommend it.

After that, as long as the Pens and Bruins don’t win it all I’d be happy.

I'm rooting for the Caps simply because I like OV as a player.

they definitely will have to figure something out. im not saying its impossible, but matthews deal will be big. they have a few other pieces up front that will need new ones too. all while still lacking a bit on the back end.

im not saying i would necessarily avoid the situation though. JT is the type of guy you move pieces around for.

Manning will move on this summer. He hinted recently that he isn't expecting to be back. Didn't say it in so many words, of course, but said he was playing for a contract. Most of the time, that means the agent talked the GM and informed his client there was no offer of an extension.

If he’s gone, all that’s left of the 2011 Flyers are, Giroux, Vorachek, Couts and Simmons who may be gone as well, Manning was overplayed this year ,not his fault but coming off back surgery last summer had a decent season. Fans forget he was undrafted and bypassed a lot of Flyer draft picks with way more skill, but found a way to play over 200 games for the Flyers going back to 2011. Ideally he’s the type of guy you want as a 7 th Defenseman who has a small cap, one million can come in and play, problem with beat writers and fans was they didn’t agree with Hak playing him over guys like Hagg and Sanheim, but that’s why guys including Bill are writers not coaching in the NHL. When he’s gone your probably gonna have someone like,Hagg or Morin as the 7 th healthy scratch and that isn’t gonna help there development.Will be interesting but definitely a changing of the guard with only a 4 or 5 left from 2011

Fine with Wilde at 14 although I feel we have a more pressing need for high end wingers in our system. Denisenko or one of the two Finns would be my choice right now at 14.

Pass on Noel. He's not a terrible option but I think he's got a little bit too much boom or bust to him compared to other players that should still be available.

I’d be okay if they reversed the order and we took a center or winger first and a defenseman with the latter pick. Lots of good defenseman will be available throughout the first round.
