Look I love couturier too, but a one handed slash does not lift a guys legs a foot and a half into the air. I thought he was trying to protect his knee. Doesn’t really matter either way. Games over.

Personally I think it was Letang's right leg that propelled Couturier into Solar System Xbyu3390. It was a really bad missed call. Definitely should have been a trip.

I honestly don't care that they lost the game or lost the series. I am just annoyed that it ended that way. They could've played a much better game, much better defensively, and avoided that entire situation. However, at that moment, I didn't care. It was an exciting game that the Flyers had a chance to win up until that non-call and to have it end like that and ruin what was a good game was BS. Then comparing it to some of the other calls/non calls...just ridiculous. The team deserved better than that, despite their mistakes.

I'm way more annoyed that the Flyers gave up a two goal lead than I am about the non-call.

Without a doubt. The game didn't come down to that play, however, still really annoying to see something like that go down result directly in a goal against. If it didn't, I don't think we are talking about it today.

You mean about how we're obsessing over Letang yanking Filppula's stick out of his hands as the pass came to him in the slot?

Provorov and Coots need to wear the As next season. Simmonds and MacDonald are good soldiers but the generals need to be represent going forward.
- Baxter27

You know what, I don't disagree with you. I would not give Provorov an A next season and here is why. He'll be 21 and as we've seen he is already deeply emotionally invested. He already has a ton on his shoulders for this team at an early age. For that reason, if MacDonald is still here, I keep the A with him. Let Provorov lead on the ice with his play.

Coots embellished it bad. They both should have been taken off or don’t call either. They chose not to call either
- Just5

Did you see how hard Couturier went over? That was not an embellishment. I bet it hurt like hell too with a torn MCL.

Looked like Letang's right leg sweeped under Coot's. If anything he may have hopped to prevent injury, but I didn't think there was hardcore embellishment. That (frank)ing scream in the video on page 25 though was a little excessive.

Almost like a slewfoot

It almost looks as though Couturier was bracing himself to throw an offensive hit so to speak, and his momentum aided in how high he flipped. There is no embellishment there in my opinion.

Coots actually just turned, look at his skates, they are almost side by side with the left one still in the air, prior to Lescumbag sweeping Coots right foot. Not sure anything but airborne was possible.

Lol at whether it was a penalty.

Clear as night and day. The officiating in this league is trash. Fire a ref once in a while for poor performance. Mother (frank)ing tenure.

Every time he went down and had to get back up from his knees I winced. I tore my MCL Years ago. Hurt like hell. Of course, being a dope, I didn’t ice it after. Just got my gear off, limped to the car and drove home. The next day I couldn’t lift my leg high enough to get in the tub for a shower. Can’t imagine playing on it a few days later

Isn't our pick 17th overall?

Just saw a mock posted today that has us at 19 behind the Devils and Jackets. I don't see how that makes sense.

We finished ahead of both in the standings. If CBJ gets to the conf final, we move up to 18

Remember they both tanked so Flyers finished ahead of both....if CLB comes back and moves on to I believe conference finals then Flyers pick would leapfrog them.

Hopefully that means two more solid prospects.

Definitely. Unless it's getting into the top 10 for a forward prospect, I say keep em both and get 2 good ones

The prospects are becoming like drugs.

Keeping us sane with all the missed/early exit playoffs.

For me anyway.

Personally I hope they trade the picks for a heavy veteran presence

What about some tasty negotiating rights?

We haven’t had those to tickle our fancy for a while.

We finished 3rd in the Metro and 1 point ahead of NJ and Columbus. If CBJ advances to the Conf Final, we’d jump ahead of them in the draft.

I’d have no problem moving one of the picks in a deal to add a good young center or, even better, a quality #1 goalie.
