On the topic of tanking... isn't that what the Flyers just did this series? Getting outscored 28-15 in a series and getting outscored 18-6 at home is disgraceful.

In all honesty, you should hope the Flyers tank for the next several years. Your top 2 paid players were invisible all series with the exception of Giroux's multiple cheap shots. Hextall should completely blow it up and get rid of everyone except Couturier, Provorov and Patrick.

blow it up? Young talent and and top farm system, blow it up? Flyers knew they were a bubble team. Yeah G and Jake did not have a good series but the cast of players they play with is up to par with Pitt. But in the next couple years they will fill in just fine. Plus they have 15-20 of cap space. No doubt Pitt was the better team, that Crosby and Malkin are top players. As them, G and jake get into their early 30's, we will see what comes next. No doubt Crosby and Malkin were everything they were touted to be when they were drafted, hats off to your scouting department. Curious the plan to replace them as they age? Pretty sure the Flyers will go with Coots and Patrick

Most will say Crosby is the biggest wussy on that team but it low key has always been Letang. I truly hate him and always have. I felt bad for a little bit when he had that stroke or whatever, but still just as dirty and wussy when he came back. Was trying to take out Couts all series.

They also want G suspended still for the Crosby hit that drove him into Letang and G suspended for smashing Hagelin legally. But won't say a peep when you mention Malkin's slew foot of Lehtera that actually caused an injury to Malkin.

But I heard a lot of out of town writers talking about Patrick being the next C. Very impressed with how he handles himself. Of course, he needs some seasoning, still.

Maybe but for how many years?I don't want a 6 year contract for Simmonds at all not the way he plays the game and for sure his skinny little legs will not hold up to that potential for another 6 years!

I just watched the replay of the sixth goal last night like 10 times in a row, how in any sense is coots embellishing/flopping like all these pens fans are saying. Letang comes in full speed and takes his legs out with his own legs, not even his stick.

Dude Letangs legs came in after his stick which caused him to flip. He didn't jump at all. Watch it again. Letang twists his legs at the end to make extra contact with him

I do believe there are enough available goalies to upgrade in the off-season, I prefer Bernier, who am I kidding? I prefer any of them...

Provorov and Coots need to wear the As next season. Simmonds and MacDonald are good soldiers but the generals need to be represent going forward.
