Lots of posts already so this may have been covered..
Any confirmed injuries yet other than the torn MCL for Coots? - opeth_pa
Gudas apparently suffered from a missing brain yesterday, but nothing else. |

I have no issue with a move like that if it happens. It's just strange timing to me.
The time in my eyes for moving Jake was before this season. The team is on the upswing, is the club willing to take another *(likely) step back? I dont know if I see that.
At the end of the day I think we see a very similar group next year, with Manning as the 7th. - flyer_nutter
I'd like to find a way to swap out Gudas and not just for yesterday. Ever since his suspensions earlier this year, he hasn't been the same player and frankly, I don't know that he will ever be an effective player if he is not a threat to be physical. |

Which is really more impressive than playing with one arm or one knee, is it not? |

Hextall should troll everyone and just say UBI or LBI - YuenglingJagr
He should had 2 cards, UBI and LBI, and ask the reporters to vote for which injury each player has, match game style. |

Yes, but he didn't play well for someone with a missing brain. That was absolutely average missing brain play, at best. |

the more i'm looking at the prospects, i think you keep both as well. the draft will be interesting tho!
despite his obviously debacles in the playoff series and much of the year, with him being a RH shot Gudas still has trade value IMO. not sure his return, but if packaged with one of those picks it could get something of need for this team. even with his deficiencies he's a 3rd pairing guy who brings physicality for most teams in the NHL.
i'm sure that decision hinges on how far along they think Meyers is. - eshake
If its me Gudas is long gone. I love the physicality - but sadly the league has taken that toy away from him. He cant play that way anymore, much of which was by his own doing. Gudas is only good when he is playing on the edge and those days are done.

I'm waiting for injury news to start trickling out. I'm guessing Voracek is on that list. - johndewar
Me too. But even if he was 100% healthy, despite his poor performance this playoff series, the guy had a career year and is arguably our most dynamic player. He would be extremely difficult to replace. He’s been on of the better RWs in the league the last 3-5 seasons. |

Morin. No longer waiver exempt I think and its beyond time. He outplayed Sanheim last pre-season in my eyes.
The interesting question is how do you want the D pairs next year? I dont think you can have Hagg and Morin together, too redudant.

I thought he was a beast most of the year. I'm certainly not looking to trade him; I just want to understand what happened down the stretch. |

If you land a legit top 6 C like ROR for Jake plus a significantly higher pick, I don’t think they take a step backwards if, and yeah it’s a big if, they also can upgrade in goal. |

That is Gord Murphy's problem, I'd suspect.

I think Hexy will stick with his plan.
Manning, Filp, and Read as UFAs are gone.
Gudas had his worst season as a Flyer but he’s signed and like it or not, will be back. Guys like Myers, Morin and Sanheim may push him down to the 7th D role, hopefully sooner then later.
Simmonds will likely be back, hopefully he regains his form. The first week of the season he started out so hot, then got injured.
I don’t see a big UFA move to replace Filp. The 3C is a big hole though. Hopefully a guy like Vorobiev can come in and play effective minutes. They will have to pay Provorov and Konecny in the near future, and Patrick pretty soon too. So I don’t think Hexy opens up the check book for this slot in the line up.
The idea of trading G or Jake seems very far fetched to me. They had a bad series, but it happens. Trading those guys will put the team further away.
The goalie situation is the biggest question mark. I think Elliot is back. As a starter or 1b guy, not certain. Neuvy not so much, his injury history is just too much. Will they go after a UFA or give someone in the system a shot? This is the most interesting off season question mark for me. |

Provy-Hagg
Sanheim-AMac
Morin-Ghost
Ghost at times can move up and take shifts with Provorov.
On the PK and when shortening the bench to protect a lead:
Provy-Hagg
Morin-AMac
When trailing in the 3rd and at 4 on 4:
Provy-Ghost
Sanheim-AMac |

Yup. Stay the course and all. I dont expect big things. The goaltending will be the question.
Regarding Simmonds, I do think they bring him back but if he really was healthy at the end here - I want him out. |

Dude in all seriousness that breaks my heart. That kid played out of his (frank)ing mind all series. Fumbling that puck on the 5th goal notwithstanding. He was fantastic last night but had a tough time handling the puck with one arm.
Maybe that taste sticks in his mouth all off-season and he wins the (frank)ing Norris next year. (frank) em

This probably exactly what is going to happen.
I wonder if they won't give a guy like Alex Lyon a fair shot at winning the backup job to Elliot, because it appears to me that organization likes and wants to keep Elliot.

Prov-Ghost
Sanheim-Hagg
Morin-Mac
Mac has been a good soldier but he will be out on his ass when the team is pushing for a cup. Its time for the kids to be given the reigns a bit more.

I fear Manning coming back. Same as Gudas. Not because I loathe them, as some games I do...
I just dont trust Hak. He's got a love affair with those guys, Manning in particular. He will choose him over a kid that should be playing. |
