I know you can't always judge a team based on how they play certain teams since different styles create different problems, but after watching how hard of a time the AVS gave NSH, I'm liking the Peg. |

Nightly Sports Call with some interesting factoids...
We outscored Philly 28 - 9 in Philly this year.
Guentzal is the first player to score 4 straight goals in a playoff game since Tim Kerr. Wow. Before that it was in 1919. |

I LOVE the Sheary-Brassard-Rust line. They’re due for an offensive explosion. Could be a real problem for teams if we make a long run. - Victoro311
yeah like i said the tangible results havent been there but man they just cycle and hound the puck.
sheary is annoying with his feebleness but he absolutely busts his ass. rust does nothing great but everything well.
if malkin comes back, do you keep him with kessel? who knows whats up with hags. he was definitely concussed. |

Kessel needs to be with Geno.
I agree, Hags is likely concussed unless they kept him out for protocol. I thought ZAR handled himself well though and ZAR-Geno-Kessel could be quite effective. |

ZAR with his size is gonna need to have a good series regardless of caps or jackets.
sheary is going to get annihilated haha |

Sheary played his best hockey of the season in this series. I think he'd be great on the 4th line with his speed and ZAR would help the third line with board battles. I think it would really balance the lines out. |

like just pointed out, i definitely think this is a good problem to have.
i have a feeling hagelin might miss some time. in that case
you have your first line of crosby with jake and hornqvist
second like if malkin can go, with kessel and someone. i just dont want that slot for sheary. he's playing great, but they need a different element there. like vic said, im not entirely convinced that the brass/sheary/rust line should be broken up.

I was going to make a comment about Sheahan too.......Feds Stammer got that one right. IMO Sheahan has been pretty damn close to Bones's equal. Maybe better in some aspects. - madmike71
...Adn as you said that, Bonino gets 3 points on the night lol |

Is it safe to say Conor Sheary is our new Tyler Kennedy? Minus the fighting stuff when needed... |

Kennedy was more like a hustler and would bust his ass for the team. Sheary has better skill with the puck. |

Sheary has a much better all around game than Kennedy. Kennedy literally had one spot he scored all his goals from. |

I’m not sure id put ZAR and Rust on the same line. I don’t think their games would compliment each other.
Regardless, assuming Malkin comes back and Hagelin misses time, I’m assuming they’re gonna stick Rust on that left flank given his success playing with Malkin so that line might be broken up anyways. I’d wager ZAR-Brassard-Sheary gets a look. |

So I woke up this morning and it occurred to me that Jake scored four goals. Four Goals in an elimination game. Four straight goals. How is that possible???
Still shaking my head in amazement. |

I don't understand people saying Letang tripping Coûts right before the goal??
1. Tanger played the puck
2. Coûts jumped up like a 65 year old woman in her kitchen after seeing a cockroach.
How is that a penalty? What was Letang supposed to do? Let Coûts just walk away with the puck?
I see some of the same people not worrying about the high hit on Hags from Giroux? So Giroux gets a free pass for anything he does? Must eat at the same restaurant as Marchand........
(frank)ing great win. Great work Pens. Bloody beauty! |
