It did, but somehow the original penalty evaporated in the Refs mind. For as long as I watched hockey, they usually let the scrum penalty's wash unless something serious happens. I didn't think Polak's jab at Backes was that big a deal.....and Backes fought back.

Oh well.... Who cares. I'm rooting for the Leafs though. I think a Leafs/TBL series would be amazing fun.

I think the Refs are in "don't want a penalty to decide it mode". Like you say, Polak shouldn't have given the ref the opportunity to change his call.

I love playoff Bobrovsky which is why I'd want CBJ, but man, I'll be happy not to see the (frank)in Tortorella smirk every (frank)in game.
