Pettersson looks like a disaster.

Seriously though, I said he should be acquiring more picks. He's picked 28 times in four drafts, my point was that's not enough for a team that he's assembled and finished 2nd, 3rd and 6th last.

Bennings drafting is decent ,it is the rest of his game that makes you go
- VANTEL

It's been just ok, my point was I wish he'd acquire more picks for a team that's finished bottom of the league three of four years. Helps increase your chances of getting an NHL player.

Flyers have 4 roster players that hextall picked, all in the 1st round, Benning had 3 picks on the roster.
1 was a 5th rounder, not sure but seems pretty even considering.
Also, Benning at least found a goalie that is succeeding in the level below nhl.

- Reubenkincade

Again my point was I wish he'd get more picks, like Hextall's done, he's added seven extra picks over the past three years and used them to draft kids. I wish Benning employed the same tactics.

When the only trade chips you have don't want to be traded. It's kind of hard to acquire more picks. Most of the players he used a pick for their value has gone up.(Keyword there is "most")

Lefty's whining gets a little tedious.

He will need those picks to get rid of those bloated contracts.

He drafted kids with them already. They've got some great prospects and so do we, more is better though

Salo on Juolevi, "He had a really good year, he improved in the areas he needed, like in the defensive zone. He had a great playoff, he carried the team after we lost a key defenseman. He took the team on his shoulders, we were really happy with his developmen

Sure, I'm hoping for better than decent though. Why have low or moderate expectations? I want that stupid (frank) to kill it at the draft every year.

Ya, I know what your original point was, just you called Hextall savvy and yet he only has 1st rounders in his lineup, so far and Benning has a player taken outside of 1st round.
Also, Bennimg went a little bit off the board selecting Petterson. I would call that being savvy...or at least ballsy.

He's savvy because he's acquired extra picks to draft more players, that's what I mean. The fact they came from the first round doesn't matter, acquiring those picks does. Helps build quicker.

Off the board? Pettersson was ranked high and was taken high. Benning has no one taken outside the first round playing as an NHL regular, yet, at least for the Canucks.
