Nylander Gardiner JVR
all Phaneuf category players.
Can't win a cup with them - just don't want to win it enough.

Nothing to do whether Nylander has 60 points or 40 points or 80 points - he just doesn't have 'it'.

Before other GMs find out, better to try and trade him for a young top2 defender (righthander if possible)

I agree 100% they just don’t seem to get into overdrive.

I'm sorta at a cross-roads here..

On one hand I love hockey so much and i want to see the Leafs succeed. But on the other hand I refuse to support a league that clearly fixes games. I don't know what kompormat the Bruins have on Bettman, but it must be worse than hookers pissing on each other in Moscow.

You need to (frank)ing relax.

Matthews in all fairness to him may still be playing hurt. Leafs will disclose that info at end of season. He’s a stud!

I thought JVR upped his rat game. And he's been our most productive scorer so far so it's hard to make the arguement this he doesn't want to win.

Yes kapanen should be on there. He is a terrific skater and with right line mates and regular shift can produce

Wouldnt be shocking if he sat a game....i doubt hes even got a bump or a bruise after 5 playoff games.
- Garnie

Would be a horrible decision. He hasn’t been good, but he could come in tomorrow and score 2 and be the best player in the game tomorrow. You don’t healthy a guy like that even if he hasn’t been good so far.

You actually believe that the game is fixed? I mean you seriously believe refs are ordered from above or paid off??

You probably said the same thing about Kessel. Even if you didn't many did and it has been gloriously refuted.

If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck..

Do you really believe that multi-billion dollar coglamorates don't do everything in their power to protect their bussines and do whatever they can make more money? Pretty much every other league has been caught fixing games, why would the NHL be any different. It would be naive to think so.

I think the most realistic alternative is just human nature. It's the Leafs, I could see the refs even subconsciously not wanting to appear bias towards Toronto.

Sorry you trying to convince me that Bettman is ordering the Bruins past the Leafs strikes me as pure tinfoil.

I don't understand this.

JVR has had a good series so far. He has lots of career playoff points. He is playing better then Matthews! Doesn't get any respect..

No, its not a conspiracy. Its just very bad officiating and an unintentional bias.

I agree he's been a good support player. Right now in 2018 I like the impact JVR has on the team.

I don't want JVR overpriced 6 years from now.

Sometimes these things turn out to be true. If it was just the refs then you could argue that only the refs have it out for the buds. But the DoPS went overboard on their Kadri ruling which suggest something more sinister. The world of billion dollar franchises isn't as friendly or honest as you might believe.

Melnyk ponying up more more than any other owner? Lost your point entirely.

most points vs 3rd/4th lines or on PP.

Kessel on Toronto always had to play most difficult opponents and was the go-to guy.
That's not a very good comparison.

JVR even with the 14points hasn't showed up in playoffs - at least definitely not these past 5 games.
A few easy tapins on PP doesn't all of a sudden make him a great playoff player.

Huh?

As a single owner?

And who's to say the Sens haven't been screwed too? The cup hasn't been rewarded to a Canadian team for 25 years. That's a probability that is almost impossible without some kind of tampering. While struggling teams have success so they can grow the fanbase.

'good play' in playoffs is more than a few easy PP goals.

that's kinda just how jvr plays in general. doesn't look impressive and is lazy defensively but scores a lot of goals.
