Outside of game 1 when we looked lost and rusty, lots of bad bounces, terrible special teams outcome (I wouldn't have thought our PK would've died on us instantly), and some shoddy reffing.

the line adjustments have worked and our depth has a slight edge over their depth at this point.

I feel pretty good about tonight, so yeah.

If any team could come back in a series this year (so far) its us. You are right about the bounces, just crazy. Last game 2 of their goals were bounces. The second goal was a brutal bounce, guy clears it high on the glass and it bounces directly out front, just brutal.

As long as we get fair reffing, and Andersen is Andersen....we can do this!

For me game 4 was Leafs' worst game by far.
Game 1 and 2 Bruins were playing really well.
Game 4 was lost because of lack of effort by most of the team, and some key fails by some in particular

He really was third man in.
If it was reversed, we all would have been screaming at the refs for a penalty.

Third Man In is only called if there is a fight. Hyman and Backes weren’t fighting. Gardiner wasn’t even called for Third Man In, he got a Roughing penalty. Total BS call that went against the Leafs...again.


A Leafs player gets called for Roughing because he was hugging a Bruins player, but Chara can punch whoever the (frank) he wants in the face and there’s no call. Clearly no bias.

Of the 16 playoff teams, 10 of them have more penalty minutes than the Leafs. Not every single call is always correct but the Leafs have earned a lot of their penalties because they're constantly chasing the Bruins. Eventually, when the pressure is strong enough, it leads to a penalty. And the Bruins only scored one PP goal in the last game. It's not like they went 5 for 10 on the PP last game.

Even though they won the game, people are still crying about the penalties. Kadri was coming off a pretty serious 3 game suspension and he crosschecked a Bruin in the back of the head. All he got was a stern talking to. Even if the referees were somehow out to get the Leafs, you'd think they'd call something blatantly obvious like that.

1) My post was CLEARLY about comparing PIM between the two teams in each series so how many penalties the Leafs got compared to teams in other series is irrelevant.

2) PP Goals is not the ONLY effect from penalties. how about tiring out certain players while your best players don't get ice time. How about momentum? How about your goalie facing that many more dangerous shots. How about the frustration when Boston gets away with every (frank)ing thing.

3) I posted totals for the series, which means my post had to do with more than just the one game in the series.

4) There have been games the Leafs outshot the Bruins, or applied more pressure. Did the Bruins get more penalties? Again, I posted SERIES totals.

It is tough to like the Raptors to be honest. They are making an annual habit of making things harder on themselves than they should be. This team lacks something, it always has and still does. They are going nowhere.

Great read ..I didn't realize that the leafs had a collapse in game 7 2013 ..and carlye said after the game ..when they were up 4-1 he changed the game plan..told the guys to play defensively(they didn't have the personal to be effective ). .and they took their foot off the gas peddle ..and IMHO. .they don't have many/enough now..they need to play their game! .speed and high skill! ..and don't change a franking thing ..release the hounds. .and bury the frankers! ..Randy by the way should of been fired right after that game!..
