I don’t think there is conspiracy against teams in playoffs, but I do think there is incompetent reffing that needs to be dealt with. It’s getting out of hand. The score based reffing is annoying. Or the makeup calls because you poop the bed on the 1st call is what annoys me. Everyone is human but you have the best players in the world in the nhl. You need the best refs as well.

i agree with the reffing - inconsistent. i advocated the same thing in the nfl. and then the "replacement refs" fiasco happened and immediately realized the err of my ways lol.

Clearly Bettman would risk the integrity of the league, his job and legacy in order to stop the biggest and most lucrative market in the league from advancing. It's the only sensible explanation for the sense of unfairness Leaf fans felt while watching the game.

Hah ya I remember that. My packers lost to the Seahawks on replacement reffing. It just seems like there could be better officiating, especially with 4 guys on the ice.

But you got to wonder, with the Leafs rumoured interest in Tanev, I wonder if he's looking at a package.

I know a lot of you don't like him because he's a Canuck, and I agree that Benning thinks too highly of him. But the Leafs may be willing to throw something extra in it with all these wingers.
