if they wouldve called that i would have been more okay with it. although i thought that rule was only for in the blue crease? not sure tho not a rulebook expert obviously

Let's call a spade a spade. If Sid laid down on the puck like that you'd all be screaming bloody murder.

I know you guys think the Pens get all the penalty calls and I'm not saying the Pens haven't gotten away with any or received any favorable calls, but you guys have had your fair share. You guys have gotten away with some serious doozies.

This is NHL officiating.

the crosby penalty from last game was blatantly bad. he just dove

ok that is the one i agree with. but calls are being missed both ways. ofc the team with the most possession tends to get the benefit of the doubt. i still remember the no-call on voracek highsticking sheary from g2

The Flyers had the better play in about 3 periods this whole series. It's been kind of lopsided, but credit to them that they've made the most of it. When one team is owning the puck, more calls get called in their favor. Now I'll admit, I didn't like a couple of the calls in the last game. That trip call was a joke.
- madmike71

nowherr have i said that the flyers are playing better. the pens are a better team. thats unbelievably clear. maybe the series wpuld be diff if neuvy started from the beginning (as i thought he should) but that doesnt matter much. i do think its fair to be upset about bad calls. i actually thought the refs were fine games 1-3. 4 was whatever but 5 was especially bad

Flyers fans just notice these things more when they play the Pens and vice-versa.

This is just NHL officiating. Sometimes the calls in a game go your way and sometimes they don't.

yeah that was absurd. i think they were trying to make up for a missed call on the flyers earlier but thats not the way to do it. shoulda been a 4 regardless of past missed calls. makeup calls are dumb. they happen to everyone but they shouldnt

actually i didnt know what laying down on the puck outside the crease was a penalty so i probs wouldnt have said anything. not sure about the others on the board cant speak for them. I'm (usually) one of the more reasonable ones

I'm not saying you're not reasonable or not right. I'm just saying to say the Pens are getting more favorable calls is just not true. It's been going back and forth. Game 2 the Pens were a target, especially Hornqvist and there were lots questionable calls.

NHL officiating is very frustrating sometimes. There are times I think refs don't call penalties against the Pens because of Sid's old reputation. You regularly see players take liberties with Sid and Geno, and get away with it.

Horns doing his best not to take a penalty.... Murray sold out way to hard on a guy who had a player draped all over him
