Yeah, that call to start the 3rd was f'n horrible, tilted the ice in the Pens favor for a good bit there. And wtf was up with that hit on G? Certainly looked like it should have been a penalty, but only saw the replay once.

Practice today is at 11:30 am. Doubt there will be any updates unless he participates.

So the coach is ok now for while with his team selections?

No. Not even a little bit. It's ridiculous to not have an optimal lineup at this point.

On defense, Manning was out of position all night. A total mess. The only thing he did right was get under Malkin's skin, once. Hagg played fine, but he should have been in the lineup over Manning the first four games anyway. Sanheim is more dynamic than either one, can make a breakout pass, and can defend as well as Hagg can - which is better than Manning.

The forward lines I'm less annoyed about, but eventually the slowest line in hockey (Weise-Lehtera-Read) will get torched. Couturier couldn't skate first line minutes last night so they did what they had to. Laughton played well. Simmonds remains absent. Giroux and Voracek carried Filppula at 5-on-5 and he had his best game in 3 months.

outstanding effort. gritty win. wish they showed this fight in games 3-4.

i called neuvirth getting the start. good call. it’s his net until he breaks.

i hope provy is ok. 30 min. wow.

the 51-15 shortie? AYFKM?

nice to see G hammer one home.

officiating was atrocious.

not sure they survive 2 more like that.

That was a tough one as many could say |Oleksiak did not see him but after looking at it many times he hit him on purpose and the worst part is that it would have been a 2 on 1 as well if Giroux had not have been clipped so it should have been called

I believe he absolutely hit him on purpose.. it was a dirty play, and should've been at least a interference call. My first thought was "what do you think Gudas gets, if he were to hit Crosby like that...."

We will have Coots for President. He was born in Phoenix after all. American as hot dogs and apple pie. Don't care where he lives now. He is ours.😃😎
