Parayko was drafted 86 th in the 3 rd round

Chara was drafted 56 th in the 3 rd round

- VANTEL

Tryamkin was drafted 66th in the 3rd round. See any pattern?

I had to take a look 56 was a 3rd rounder. Would be a late second these days.

Yes I do see a pattern . Back in the day bigger defenders could be drafted in the third round or late second , but with their impact now GMs are drafting them higher

Gudbranson and his 54 points are 37th in his draft year still.

He would be 37th in the 2011 draft right now too.

Legit shows you that out of 210 players drafted every year only about 40 make a half decent contribution

2007 draft Sam Gagner is 8th and Sutter is 14th. Considered to be no good(by most), would still have been drafted around where they actually were based on points.

Bigger and giants are 2 different categories. Only 22 defenders are 6'5" and above out of 306 this season.

6' and down 83
6'1"-6'4" 201
6'5" and up 22

You know you are talking about a shut down Dman's point production? Wouldn't that be like complaining about McDavid being ranked 37 th in PK from his draft year?

I'm not complaining. It's sad, that was a sad face.

I would gladly take 6'2, 6'3 or 6'4

We have plenty of Stecher Hutton Pouliot Biega

There needs to be more emphasis in scouting dmen, those 4 listed are 6-7 caliber, not 4-6 caliber.
