According to Wikipedia, Dwayne is now the more popular spelling in the Southern US, while Duane is preferred in northern-Midwest states. We're all learning stuff.

I always find it funny when D-Wade's sponsors get his name wrong on stuff. One of the NBA 2k games spelled his name wrong one year, too. He was a great player. I'm glad Cavs traded him back to Heat so he can end things there.

I don't care why he gets them, i care that he does and still produces. Marner gets favourable zone starts against favourable competition. The only area where he has a true edge over Nylander is the powerplay. Which is another way of saying the only way he's better than Nylander is when the other team is missing a guy and collapsing.

It's not a knock on marner who is a terrific talent but with all due respect you're out to lunch while watching these games if you think he's better than Nylander. This series, absolutely. During their careers? Advantage Nylander.

I would take a top 8 pick. You'll get a really good d-man in the top 10 of this draft. If it's the 8th overall pick plus an NHL ready prospect I'd do it forsure. I don't know much about their prospect pipeline though to comment on which particular player.

That's actually what happened. He's named after his dad. D-Wade's grandma spelled it that way because she thought that was the proper spelling.

When asked about the spelling in an interview with Esquire, Wade said, "I have no idea. I'm a junior — I got that name from my father. I asked him — my grandma said that's how she felt it was spelled. There you go."

What about it? That's the correct spelling. Duane, Dwayne are both fine, they're phonetically the same. Dwyane is a mistake. That spelling, phonetically, doesn't come out to Dwayne. And it's not from a different language that has accents or different pronunciations or silent letters. It's a mistake.
