20 something goals this year, 400 n something career, nope he certainly can't hit poop.
Next.

I would have preferred Vanek just so we don't have to play against him. Kane is a disaster waiting to happen... yet again.

- Thornton22

Sorry man... i just disagree with trying to use career stats to prove that point. He had 21 goals and 12 assists this year... 34 total points. It was his worst season EVER in the NHL. He hasn't put up 40+ points in 3 seasons. 36, 38, then 34 this year. He used to be a great power forward, now he is a shell of his former self. There's just far too much hype around him, and I don't understand it.

It's insane to me that any Bruins fan would want to re-sign this guy with the incredible pipeline that we have.

Kane is a disaster waiting to happen? I guess you haven't paid attention to the Sharks since the deadline.

Cassidy has really got this Team doing the things they need to do in order to beat a faster Team, I don't think the B's play this way against any other Team (maybe Vegas), I think he is out coaching Babadook That open neutral zone hurt them in game 3 so he took it away, Leafs when not making stretch passes were dumping it in and trying to beat the D to the puck,
credit Tuukka for Stealing a game here too

- BruinBlood

totally. Cassidy even said if they want to just throw behind our D fine. we like that. and agree again that when we play the rest he'll make the adjustments. fun to watch.

Forming my own opinions? Haha I know... Classic Bill.
Sorry I don't buy into every stupid narrative created by the fan base... like Rick Nash is an amazing hockey player because he has a large body and shoots like Frank Vatrano.

since you're an avid ryan spooner fan i'm sure the 200 foot game nash plays is either overlooked or ignored by you?

he's a very good player who has been judged by his the money he made and that he was #1 overall. he's one of those guys that even when he's not putting up points he plays a 3 zone solid game and is willing to get his nose dirty.

that's just not always good enough when you make 7.5 million a year or whatever it was. expectations never met the reality of the player.

Sorry man, didn't mean to jump down your throat. It's just my opinion... if you want to debate it, fine. But getting the "WRONG" type of comments any time I post my opinion that doesn't align with the Bruins echo chamber is just annoying, and I tend to get defensive in those situations.

Nash looked to be a huge upgrade over Spooner in the first like 5-10 games that he played for the Bruins, and I fully admitted that. Even with Spooner producing points left and right on the Rangers. I think Nash has fallen off since his initial "I'm on a new team" burst, and has been pretty average since. I think his 200ft play has fallen off too... I don't think he has been playing the best defense since his return after the concussion.

He's got the size to make an impact on any play... but I'd like to see him play with more of a hockey IQ than to just fire anything and everything towards the net any time he touches the puck.

Rick Nash is probably the most overrated trade deadline acquisition. They paid an absolute haul for a guy they didn't really even need. Tommy Wingels is low-key the most underrated TDL acquisition.... Wingels for a 5th? I'll take that all day long.

Nash is like Michael Ryder with a bigger body... get's all the chances in the world, and has zero finish... he shoots from the worst angles, misses the net half the time and puts the puck in the goalies chest the other half. And he hasn't even made a wicked glove save yet (though he did have that one really nice play where he scooped the puck off the goal line).

- mixturebill

Did they over pay? yes, but, still a good pickup IMO, they don't need extra draft picks right now, they are overburdened in the pipeline. Thats part of the reason they got rid of Vatrano. They wanted someone one the other wing with Krejki, someone who fit the mold of who he was successful with before. Nash fits that mold, and he's not a one way player like spooner and to a lesser extent Vatrano. Wingles was a steal though...from game one.. who didnt have a little wingle in their pants?

You'll suck on it when the B's get eliminated

You just explain to me how to do it since you've been doing it so long. Don't worry, you can always see the cup at the HOF around the corner. have fun with that.

Stretch passed worked in game 3, and they still got some chances. Tuukka did his job last night.
Start of season D was the biggest concern, Chara is 85 years old, Krug didn’t know how to play D, the gave away the wrong Miller.
Damn if Sweeney didn’t know what he was doing.

Evander has been pretty freaking solid on San Jose. Evander with the right leadership around him has a chance to do good things.

I also agree with Mixture Bill on this one. Maybe I am picking apart Rick Nashs game but i am not seeing as much positive as everyone else. Nash is good when he has the puck in space and I am certain he will score some big goals this playoffs but i just don't like his game anymore. I feel like he is always stuck to a Leaf players hip in the offensive zone. Debrusk is saving that line right now IMO.

HAHAHA i was waiting for someone to make this video. When i watched the reel of that play you can see Matthews right behind him with ZERO desire to play defense. I understand they were getting smoke but damn. No heart on that play.

Marchand suspended 3 games for repeatedly smashing a defenceless Marner’s head into the ice. This is his 3rd suspension of the series, with the first two being for a hit from behind/headshot, with the second being for taking a full swing as hard as he could at a Leafs defencemen (Rielly)...oh wait, he’s not a Leaf. No suspension. Classic.

I love it! Leafs 1 and done again!

Who's hoping Bergeron sits out the next game?
I am picturing Kadri taking a run at him just because he wants a little payback for the 3 games.

and...NO NO & NO to Kane... just a selfish cancer.

Yes he was in Winnipeg but people do grow up. He was a kid.

Was he really a cancer in Buffalo? No. Not really and if I am not mistaken the fans of Buffalo actually liked him.

I can see him taking a shot at Marchy, but Bergy commands more respect than that.
Kadri is emotional and pretty dirty but he's not that kind of player.
Babpenis would never allow it.
I expect a great game whether 37 plays or not.
