I think he has a higher ceiling too, but if that's what he caps at, then oh well. I worry about Bozak because although not even close to great, he's might be the only option available going into next year. We'd lose center depth without him. - UsernameUnknown
d.ryan could be a good 4C.
i think we'd have to trade for a C if bozak walks. unless thronton joins marleau up here. |

I get thats the perception and the story has been all season that the Leafs D sucks and gives up lots of chances
but in the series so far the High Danger chances are 36-34 for the Leafs
I dont think its a question which goalie has been way better - senstroll
It's fair to say, we were only outplayed in Game 1.
In Game 2, we started strong but every time a Bruins player touched the puck it was a goal against us |

My issue is i'd expect him to be better without Matthews. I think he relies too much on him, and needs to be a better player on his own like Marner for example. While Marner started poorly, he made adjustments and was very consistent in the last half of the year. - Archaic
I think Nylander is capable of more and I hope to see it next year, with or (god forbid) without Matthews. I also hope like fuuuuukk Matthews gets healthy and stays healthy. |

We started out strong last night too. We dominated the whole first period. Then just stopped. |

i guess the only other good center out there is stastny. 6x6 for him seems like an anchor waiting to happen - Tumbleweed
pffft.....Bergevin can offer even more
and Leafs should spend their money on D, not another forward |

Stastny would be good, but not for what he's going to get, I don't think. |

Since Leafs traded for Andersen, I have been saying he is a just an average nhl goalie.
Some people in here seem to think he is Hasek v2.0 though - MaximusAurelius
It has been endless bullpoop from Leafs fans from me daring to not like Andersen or ever criticizing Matthews. |

I'd spend that money on Tavares if I could. We still need to sign someone to replace Bozak though. There are no internal options except maybe put Nylander there and I don't like that at all. |

really feels like the 2018 Leafs got 2013 Maple leaf'd..
- senstroll
Yep, anyone with a set of eyes could see the Leafs deserved this game.
Rask stole this game. Those types of games happen in a series though, if the Leafs want any chance of coming back in this series. Andersen needs to steal 1, maybe 2 |

It's not nearly as important as people think, especially with Dermott.
I'd rather the leafs get another C over another D |

I would settle for Average goaltending and play from our #1C. |

Criticizing Andersen this series is completely acceptable. Saying he is either not a good goalie or didn't have a good season is not. |

I must say, never been a fan of that phrase. I mean you can always claim your team played a good game and could have won if things went a little differently.
But at the end of the day, you know who deserved to win the game?
The team that (frank)ing won the game. |

Andersen and Mcbackup(brief stint) have been brutal.
I expect nothing more than a stolen game from Andersen next game. If not, this series has ruined his good year for him. |

After the Bruins made it 2-1, we stopped(except Marner, Rielly) skating.. I didn't see any type of desperation in their play.. In all honesty, Babcock should not need to get players all fired up for the playoffs.. We're done, if there is no passion/effort/drive to win |

Not at all
Teams win when they didn't play well
If you have a set of eyes you can clearly see and read that the Leafs outplayed the Bruins by a fair margin. They deserved to win this game. Simple.
If Andersen played average. They would of won. |

A worse team came back from 3-1 against the Bruins, possible.
I just don't have confidence until Andersen does something |

The goaltender is part of the team Santo. His play needs to be accounted for in your analogy.
At the end of the day, the TEAM that deserves to win, wins. |

leafs won all season because they have a very productive offense. Yes Ander5on needs to be better but it won't matter if the Leafs don't score at least 3 goals |

bruins converted on their chances, we didn't. didn't seem like andersen had much of chance on the 2-1's.
if marner scored on his breakaway, i doubt we would have given up odd man rushes. |

Disagree, Anderson and the Dmen on Boston 2 on 1s gave it away.
