Mathews has been the biggest disappointment.

Points can be forgiven if he is trying his best.

What gets me is that he swore in the post game and then hid from another. Thats coddling at the highest. Unprofessional.

Nylander has been invisible the whole series, and that has brought down matthews....

Are the Bruins still the same big physical team they were 5 years ago?

The Leafs need Tanev. Great D man on very inexpensive contract for two more years.

Only reason Canucks want to move him is that he will be too old when the Canucks are actually ready to use his skills.

Nylander, Dermott and a 2nd is still the asking price?

not fair to blame it all on Ander5on, the leafs D takes a lot of chances and gives very good scoring chances.
- Symba007

I get thats the perception and the story has been all season that the Leafs D sucks and gives up lots of chances

but in the series so far the High Danger chances are 36-34 for the Leafs

I dont think its a question which goalie has been way better

2nd and a prospect or a 20-31 placed first rounded.

With Kadri coming back, does Plekanec sit now? Or does babcock sit someone else?

You responded to my post, and I specifically said its too early to trade him Maybe aim that at the right posters. He was wildly inconsistent and almost a non factor when Matthews was out. It's my opinion, you have yours, I think its you that needs to settle down, i dont see anyone else going off the rails.

I guess you weren't in here last night? It was bad

He was no more inconsistent this season than Marner or JVR. Or Bozak. The only difference is we know what to expect from guys like JVR and Bozak. Nylander got 7 more points than JVR but we're happier with him because he exceeded our expectations and had a career year in goals. If Nylander turns out to be a 60 point player in his career, that's not really a bad thing to have no?

Edit: For for clarity, it's okay to expect more from a guy. I personally hope Nylander is better in his prime than he was this year. My problem isn't with you specifically, it's that just because he doesn't meet your expectations, doesn't mean he sucks or we need to trade him for a bag of pucks and a kilo of weed.

Actually I'd be dissapointed as I think he has a higher ceiling. JVR is not great 5-5 really, but sometimes I wonder if he'd play better with a player that is not named Bozak.

I think he has a higher ceiling too, but if that's what he caps at, then oh well. I worry about Bozak because although not even close to great, he's might be the only option available going into next year. We'd lose center depth without him.

My issue is i'd expect him to be better without Matthews. I think he relies too much on him, and needs to be a better player on his own like Marner for example. While Marner started poorly, he made adjustments and was very consistent in the last half of the year.
