Notice how bruins bumped Matthews around knocking him off his game. Bruins rough and physical play is what got the leafs off their game. If your being knocked around all night you become apprehensive-scared every shift. Leafs did not rough house bruins enough to get them off their game. Bruins are tough and have skill and speed. Leafs have skill and speed but are not tough. You can name a whole list of leaf players that do not play tough and or that are not intimidating looking by there prescense.

Yeah MMA analogies really don't help solidify your point.
- Blazed

It's a perfect analogy if you understand even a little bit about MMA.

I'll go even more basic than that. It's rock, paper, scissors. The Bruins are rock, the Leafs are scissors. Every style of play has a counter to it and the Bruins counter the Leafs very well. If you play chess, there's a counter for every possible opening move, and so on and so on.

I did my best to be objective and believed (still do) that if the Leafs played like they're capable of playing, they can beat Boston. I didn't foresee them winning the cup this year either. I'll just leave it at that.

Leafs weren't good enough. No matter how well you think they played. Boston will take that game in game 5 every day of the week. Zero penalties and the Leafs scored 1 goal. Yes please.

Many here refuse to look at this game from Boston perspective, they're laughing. Missing their star player and beating the Leafs AT HOME in a pivotal game 4.

Yeah but possession this and Corsi that gimme a (frank) breaks buds. Bruins had a plan and they executed it. Of this was the Leafs we'd be talking about how the Bruins had no real good scoring chances and we'd still be talking about that save Freddy made in game 3. So far Bruins>Leafs. Our top line hasn't been, or even close to boston's. That matters. Rask has been better than Andersen. Their coach > Babs.

I still think it's possible. One game. One period. One shift at a time.

It'd be the greatest comeback in franchise history since 1942. It's the indescribable moments fans live for that happen once in a life time.

They are laughing because Rask was excellent and Andersen sucked

Andersen needs to steal a game or two for the leafs to win, and so far he's shown he's not going to do it. I hope he turns it around but he's been less than stellar. The leafs played better tonight, but could not execute on their chances. While the Bruins capitalized on every good chance they had.

Gards with a terrible pinch.

Brought back memories of kaberle in the playoffs.

I'm (frank)ing done with him.

- Tumbleweed

I bet you were saying you loved how the leafs played in game 3 and the majority of game 4.....well it was because they had their d pinch hard to either keep it in or pinch long enough for the forward to retrieve the puck. It worked perfectly up until that point. And at that point you need Andersen or the defender to stop the 2 on 1.

It sucks because that play was working so well for them, the Bruins just took advantage of the few times it didn't work. Which you expect your goalie to bail you out once

They have, the last two games the leafs have been excellent. They won once, and lost the other, in a game where they should of won.

I wish they played like this from game 1, it would of been a much closer series but they were a mess the first two games

JVR, Bozak and Komarov should have all been moved at the deadline. No wasting a 2nd on Plekanec either.

Could be sitting on a 1st, two 2nds, 3rd and a prospect (at least) right now with the same results on the ice giving Kapanen, Johnsson and Moore the ice time.

As much as it pains me, I agree 1000%
