Rielly has been stellar. - UsernameUnknown
Reilly has been good. My only beef with him is getting point shots through. Seems to hold on too long... also, does he know what a slap shot is? All wristers... |

most important game of the year, and you let in a bad goal on first shot on first shift in night?
not many teams can recover from that.
that's just such a morale breaker. - MaximusAurelius
I actually won't argue that, as an Anderson fan that was pretty disappointing. I hadn't even had a single glass of whiskey down yet. |

As long as the grit has hockey ability, then good, but I'm sick of people saying we'd be better if Komarov and Martin were playing instead of Johnsson. It's just not true. A guy like Simmonds, sure, but the way of the goon and the talentless plugs are almost over. - UsernameUnknown
Simmonds would be great on this soft team |

And Dermont.
Polak has honestly been great. Just like last year. No stupid mistakes, no penalties, big hits in the corners... - Hockey_Reverend
Dermott has been one of the best since being up.
He should be on the top pair with Rielly, Left-side / Ride side be damned. Or at least try it. |

This is exactly what the Bruins planned on. This is how they planned on winning. Play a conservative game and let the chances come to them and score on those chances. The Leafs had nothing. If you're missing your best player then you have to play like that. Leafs did the same thing when Matthews was injured. - Arctic_AARDVARK In my opinion Aardvark is spot on.

Leafs played like ass..
It was (frank)ing embarrassing.. they thought if they played "their game" (whatever the (frank) that is) that they should be able to outscore the Bruins. Boston played it beautifully and it's so obvious. |

What a disappointing game.
Have we ever come back from a 3-1 playoff hole? |

anywho, matthews did very little
gardiner didnt feed any bruins a goal from behind the goal line but he certainly wasnt magical in the o-zone, giving up a rush more often than he made a play
bad luck for dermott, terrible game for zaitsev, rest of the leafs outside of marleau and marner had very little jam and kept 0 cycle going.
30 odd low quality scoring chances
pleks had the only goal |

He has no slapper. His shot has always been below average but him holding onto it and walking the line is something he's worked on for the last two seasons and it's why he finally hit 50 points this year. |

Rielly? - Steven_Seagull
I do like his game I find he pinches too much and gets caught tho.. look how many goals scored is him trying to back check.... Gardiner and zaitsev is by far our worst |

The Leafs, as a whole, do not use slapshots regularly. Dead last in the NHL in slapshots taken. Only 248 slapshots in 82 games by the whole team combined. |

They didn't get dominated they were in the game all game. They lost on bad break and 2 junk plays by dmen not being able to make a peewee play.
The leafs spent lots of time in the the offensive zone. They weren't terrible. |

If you don’t think Rielly has been the best defenseman you are nuts. He has been outstanding. At least aside from game 1 |
