I still don't know what the rules/odds are. I'm just praying for a 1-3 place

- mdw7413

That would be great. Not counting on it though, and won't be disappointed if it doesn't happen. Then I'll just start wondering who may drop, and start watching Wahlstrom, Dobson, Bouchard, etc. highlights.

Corsi conversations are really boring.

I prefer to play "let's make a trade" with random players for entertainment.

Zib, Andersson a 1st and Staal for Nylander. Get it done

Essentially, we have about a 1 in 20 chance of picking top 3.

So I guess the consensus is 1 through 3 are pretty much cemented in and the next 7 players could bounce around anywhere in that 4-10?

Seems to me the consensus is that 1 through 3 are a cut above, and the next 5 are Tkachuk, Hughes, Bouchard, Boqvist and Wahlstrom in some order. But then you know the consensus never totally holds.

Kind of want to know why the full details of the lottery are as secret as The Colonels recipe

They put an addictive additive in their lottery odds that make you crave it fortnightly!

That doesn't really make sense because you're not taking salary back. Throw in Horton and we can consider it....

If I remember correctly, I think it shakes out more like,

1
2,3
4-7
8-10

with 2 and 3, 4-7 and 8-10 all interchangeable in their groupings. Of course that is mostly going by the crew of misfit toys around here!

Kind of wonder at the point if you go for need between those guys. I say go for a forward, and if we still have them, pick up a d-man with the later picks

The Corsi team are winning a majority of the series. You can write 5 pages on this or all you have to do is check NHL.com. Big Boi.

I am all about best available. Screw need at this point.

The whole team is a need, although they have collected a lot of center prospects.

Forwards for Team Canada at the World's:
Eberle
Schenn
Bailey
Barzal
Schwartz
Pageau
Horvat
Beauvilier
O'Reilly
Nugent-Hopkins
McDavid

The defense and goaltending leaves a little more to be desired, but I would think about 13 goals for each game should get it done! lol.

Can you really do best available if they are all kind of around the same spot? Seems like a crap shoot.
