He's not right. He is pigeon holing Lindblom as a 21 year rookie with less than half a season in the NHL. He was in the AHL and reports are that he was becoming a dominant player down there.

IF reports were that he was going to turn INTO a pigeon, and I told you i didn’t agree, would I be more right?

No, I'm figuring it goes to what's been reported $81M. I've got them at just over $63M with 7 D, 2 G and 12 forwards which is where the money would go for the 13th.

Gotcha!

The Flyers will have, provided they let UFAs Filpulla, Read and Manning walk, about $18M in cap space for this coming season. I didn't realize the number was that high. I knew they had room to add a decent UFA forward coming into this season, but $18M is a lot of incentive to go get somebody and for somebody to want to come to Philly.

They can't spend it all. They'll need some to re-sign Lehtera, Weal, and Neuvy in two years.

Oh yeah, they'll still have some guys underperforming to their pay scale.

So you’re just throwing a scouting report at me against the games we’ve all seen him play (and get scratched for)?

Seems laaaaaazy.

I agree the guy can skate and do all the things people encompass when they lay in the treasured “200 foot player” tag on someone.

But he hasn’t showed he can score. It reminds me of the dudes I mentioned.

He was a 5th round pick....

- eshake

He has played 27 total games in the NHL.
Im not sure how you can say he has or hasnt showed anything yet.
I also dont think the 5th round thing automatically means he cant be a dynamic player.

Come on, that’s a QUARTER OF A SEASON!

And again, I’m not saying he won’t be a good hockey player!!! I just don’t see him being a 20 goal scorer who is a viable option for a second line playoff run team in the foreseeable future.

BUT, since I’m not (frank)ing MAGIC (like Blackwater Park...what a sick record) I could be wrong.

But don’t tell me I can’t! My mom says I can do whatever I put my mind to!

You can do anything you want. It's why you don't think he can be a 20 goal scorer that is the issue.

Fair enough

Why do you think he will all of a sudden start being able to score goals?

Maybe the Flyers will sign Tavares and Oskar will ride shotgun.

He's scored at every level he has played at. Including being named the best player in the Swedish Elite league at 19 years of age. That's no guarantee of anything but it is not sound to make a judgement with any finality to it after 28 NHL games.

Let it go. If the Flyers drafted my sorry ass he'd think I was the next Simon Nolet until proven otherwise.

It wasn't until this his 8th season in the league that Coots scored more than 20 goals..

Yes Blackwater Park is ridiculous..The last 4 mins of the actual song Blackwater Park are near perfect!

I think they could all play on the Flyers. Least ready is probably Vorobyev, but he might have the highest upside of the three. There isn't anyone else on the Phantoms I would like to see here next year (forwards)

Hahahaha. You really soured on him. I seem to recall earlier this season we were roughly on the same page, underperforming to his contract but not that bad in his role but my memory is not what it once was. It is time to move on from him though. Four years was a crazy term.

The Flyers do have a balance problem up front. I thought they could have used a vet UFA forward going into this season. I think they do need one next season and they seem like they'll have enough kids to throw at the other hole or two and hope they get filled.

Here is the thing, when a player is held out of the lineup for a while and gets a chance to get back in and he shows zero heart or intensity, then he is either washed up or he doesn't give a crap. Both red flags.
