I thought last night these teams were summed up best on two plays.

The clear 2 on 1 the flyers had in the first when Simmonds had the puck along the wall with all kinds of time to make a pass to make a free and clear breakaway. Of course the pens dman breaks up the pass attempt in the middle of the ice.

The PIMS don't help, but have they shown they can keep up? They have given up 5 goals every home game this year against the Pens. Their star players are just simply destroying our star players, its not even close as they come to play every game

Sorry for the late reply but lets look at the Facts. Philly had a horrible game 1. They won game 2. They had every chance to win Game 3, even dominated the Pens in the first but became like a bad luck Briam meme and got scored on and deflated slowly after that, then the penalty parade happened. They had every chance to win Game 4 as well. They had a lot of good chances in the first two periods.

The fact is that Murray has stood on his head when he had to. Elliot has not done that outside of game 2. I would agrue that Philly would be up 3-1 if they managed to score on their opportunities in Game 3 and got the opening goal in game 4.

Nash would be a real strong add to the team but he is not going to come cheap.

Filppula's cap hit is 5 mil if I'm correct so if they could somehow sign him for that amount or maybe 5.5 for 3 years I wouldn't absolutely hate it. They have the money and I doubt Statsny will get anywhere close to what his current contract is paying him at 7.5 mil so, I think he could be had for the price I mentioned above. Not sure if he'd be the best fit but it would be a lot better setup then they have going right now.

There aren't many good free agents, especially at center. There is going to a bidding war for players like Stastny.

Have you not watched his decline over the last half of the season...WTF.... I wouldnt want him back for any price.
