trade simmer
see if there can be a trade made for a solid, youngish goalie who can bridge until hart is here (grubauer, dell, maybe even quick if the kings decide to blow it up)
tell manning to go take a hike or bury him in lehigh
fire Lappy
sign a 3c
replace read and weise with some well performing lehigh kids

I'm not against a trade of Simmonds in the right deal. However I am against trading just to trade him.

Depends on the cost in total, which means all of the factors such as what they have to do to create the roster space. If Elliott hadn't gotten hurt or the timing of it had been better, he would've been fine. I'm not against going with Elliott again next season. I don't trust Neuvirth at all though.
