that doesnt mean i wanna trade them all
i would trade simmonds, not resign any of the UFAs, try to sign a 3c (i would target riley nash), not sign an d men because we have morin, haggx and myers , and see if we can pry someone like grubaur from the caps or aaron dell from the sharks until hart is ready. keep elliott or nuevy as backup, and either explore a trade or bury the other. mrazek isnt coming back (although im still a believer so i wouldn't be too upset if he did i think hes a good goalie but maybe the mid season change was hard idk)

I admit my list is long and looks ugly but I also know it's not all happening. The only shock factor in that list is losing 2 of Giroux/Simmonds/Voracek. The rest of that list is clearing garbage that really anyone here wouldn't cry over. And one listed isn't even a player.

Everyone sees the core as being good due to their regular season stats guess what .5 and .56 ppg in the playoffs needs to be better if you are the core of this team.

I don’t think Hextall has the balls to trade any of those 3. I’ve got zero confidence in Hextall at this point.

Any of those 3 probably make the team...but I am not doing this deal if I am MTL unless that 4th becomes a 5th
- YuenglingJagr

Would you add maybe a defender like Hagg, knowing you have Morin and Myers coming if it meant pushing the trade through? Or maybe someone like Rubstov who people are a little hit or miss on since he hasn't been consistent?

Just conversing. not sure whats right or wrong.

so Hagg is in for Sanheim.

Hakstol has to go. has. to. go.

Is this for real?

If so I am officially done with this coach.

Lets hope they don't make another mistake like they did with Lavi and start the season with this guy only to fire him a week in.

In fact, I want a whole new coaching staff top to bottom.

Last night I turned off a Flyers playoff game before midway through the 2nd period. I didn't even know what the final score was before I got to work this morning.

I'm not even mad a G and the handful of top players we have. Its easy to shut any player down if you can stack everything against them with no need to worry about anyone else.

Add to that goalies who couldn't stop a beach ball rolling at them through sand against the wind and you have a recipe for disaster.

The gap between our top players and our role players is cavernous.

Time to root for the Phantoms. Hopefully these young guys get some valuable experience with a long playoff run and possibly a title.

Are there any players on the current Flyers roster who are eligible to play for Lehigh starting Saturday?

I keep thinking Simmonds or Voracek to Montreal in some deal. Especially if they move Pacioretty.

To Montreal: Voracek, STL 1st runder(2018)
To Philly: Galchenyuk, Montreal 1st rounder(2018, top 4), Paul Byron, Montreal 4th rounder.

With the Montreal 1st rounder you probably get one of Tkatchuk, Zadina or Svechnikov.

Does it work? Galchenyuk would look nice on a line with Patrick. Byron can kill penalties and has great speed.

Giroux - Couturier - Konecny
Lindblom - Patrick - Galchenyuk
Raffl - Vorobyev - Simmonds
Byron - Laughton - Aube-Kubal

If your selecting in the top 4 maybe one of those guys earns a spot at camp.

I don't know. Just bored and wondering what could change without really throwing off the draft and develop plan.

Not bad....most of these deals just get a chuckle....but this one makes some sense to both teams.

I don't know. He traded Schenn off back to back 25 goal seasons.

Sanheim and Lindblom...I think Matt Read is technically, but kind of doubt he would

I'm telling you guys. Dave Hakstol, Claude Giroux, Jake Voracek and Wayne Simmonds are all ending season three together, so the Flyers have four options.

1) Fire the Coach, bring back the stars.

2) Trade the Stars, bring back the Coach.

3) Fire the Coach and trade the stars.

4) Do none of the above.

If Hextall goes with option four, he's not a very good GM. If Hextall has unwavering faith in Hakstol, Hextall better be willing to do what Holmgren did with Jeff Carter and Mike Richards. This team is in desperate need of depth. You have the future faces in the franchise in Patrick, Konecny and Provorov. This is a deep draft coming up.

I would trade Voracek and Simmonds right after the Cup is handed out.

You can actually make trades right now, the players just won’t be eligible to play in the playoffs.

Hakstol scratching Sanheim and putting in Hagg while leaving the Gudas /Manning pair intact just proves how inept he is as a coach considering Sanheim has been their 2nd best defenseman this series behind Provorov. Not to mention the refusal to move Giroux to center to at least attempt to decently matchup with the Pens. The guy is out of his element , makes no adjustments in game and when he does adjust something he leaves the garbage in the lineup. If he doesn't get fired after this series I have no faith in Hextall as a GM anymore.

I'm pretty sure Simmonds last game as a Flyer is Friday.

As for Voracek, trading him and that contract is a little more involved. He just came off a very productive season so we have that going for us.

I don't see them trading both.

I am now firmly in the "fire Hakstol" (the whole coaching staff) camp.

I'd go for that but I'm not sure Bergevin is doing it.

Also line 3 might need a little help unless you really are expecting a huge bounce from Simmer?
