If youre at a catholic mass I would think you have faith at least

- all-pgh

I've only been to one, a friend of mine married a Catholic girl.

I sat there for 2 hours, learned about why I'm going to hell, everyone say still for 95% of it, and some guy droned on in monotone. The only thing that made the mass better than last night is when the Priest has God possess his body or some poop and he started talking all robotic-like.

I agree. But the "the sky is falling!!!!1" routine being played out here these last couple days is ridiculous.
- Scoob

Wouldn't say sky is falling, but this series just shows you how far they have to go.

Pens, assuming they stay healthy, aren't going anywhere for quite some time. Not like like, Cindy, Malkin, Kessel, Letang, Murray are hinting at retirement.

Wrong on both counts.

I don't drink, and there was nothing "presumably" about it.

When they made the playoffs, I said that Hak should be fairly safe because it was a slight overachievement (despite the fact I believe he was not the main reason they made it).

But given the way they've played in 3 of these last 4 games, I'm more done with him that I was, and I was done with him a few months ago.

- jmatchett383

Hakstol is not going anywhere, nor should he.

I like how people keep saying Gudas and Weise are going to be gone when they're still under contract. Elliott and Neuvirth will be the goalie tandem next season too. Maybe they buy out Lehtera but I kind of doubt it.
- Doctor DOOM

I think Gudas gets traded. I think Weiss is in the minors for the remainder of his contract unless they can find someone to take him.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they bought out weise. This guy can’t get up for games here I’m not sure hexy would want this guy around his young players in Lehigh

I’d be surprised if Gudas got traded given their limited options on the right side

I'd trade Gudas for, really, whatever they can. Weise should be waived. Manning should be be resigned. Filppula will be gone. Lehtera should be the 13F.

The goalies is a whole different story. I'm okay with Elliott as the backup, but Neuvirth has to go and we need at least a Ryan Miller type.

I’m trying to find positives from this series and one that makes me feel better about this team is playing against a top team such as Pens is showing our biggest flaws. This is the first offseason Hexy will have a lot of cap to work with, we have a top 6 winger who can be moved (Simmonds) and plenty of draft picks to make a move to our liking. This season, the players who will be a part of this team next year stepped up and those who were disappointments (Filp, Manning, Gudas, hell I’ll throw Simmonds in here, and hopefully even Weal) are close to their final games as flyers. We have the likes of G, Couts, Jake, TK, Patrick, Lindblom, Laughton, Provy, Ghost, Sanheim, Hagg, Morin, Amac, who will all be on opening roster. Hexy needs to take a hard look at this roster this summer and find the right complimentary pieces to help our core because they aren’t the problem (minus disappearing this series). With the right moves this Summer, Hexy can really bolster this roster imo.

They got a extra 2 games worth of gate receipts?

Provorov could end up being a true first pairing guy. Ghost is great offensively but without the puck he looks like a liability. Sanheim is not there yet.

Today, none of those guys would be in the Pens top 4. I'd probably take Oleksiak over Ghost & Sanheim at this point also.

Can you guys go make fun of this idiot Pens fan on the Pens board please? Dude is an embarrassment.

Weiss will be interesting. Personally, I would not extend that nightmare another two years against the cap. But who knows. They would save $950K against the cap by sending him down.

Waiving him would be my move. Can you send an NHL player to the ECHL?

Hypothetically. Could they move him to reading?

Maybe they'd have to demote him to LHV, and then LHV would have to demote him to Reading???

Missed it due to a EKG course tonight.

Kids are getting experience, if they lose whatever.

Will say it is concerning to see G, V and Simmonds do very little as veteran leaders of this "core".

Wont go into the coaching thing, I bang that drum enough.

The goaltending is the biggest ? imo for next year.
