Agreed, no coach should ever use a timeout when it's needed because they may need it later. - jmatchett383
Didn't say that.
I said I can see why he didn't though. The rules have changed since Lavy was here so using timeouts so quickly has to be a thought. I think that's why you see more goalie changes because they kind of provide the same effect.
lol, you're adorable. Not sure how pointing out that Ghost has been sucky this series is blindly supporting the coach, but you keep on being you. - Scoob
No, blindly supporting Hak and acting like he's never done anything wrong.
Honestly, it was super lame. I didn't even want to be there towards the end. The mood was that everyone (even the Flyers) was expecting the Pens to get ahead and win the game and that is exactly what happened.
I felt like I got to enjoy playoff hockey atmosphere for about 45 seconds, which was abruptly ended by Kessel scoring.
I take full responsibility for the loss. I have been to two games this year and I have yet to see the Flyers score a goal. - YuenglingJagr
Walking to the lot, some guy was with 2 of his friends and apologized for having the great idea to buy tickets. I told him that I'd never met him before, but I blamed him as well. Apparently I said it jovially enough because I am able to type today.

I firmly believe that they got into the playoffs despite Hakstol, not because of him.
I mean, oh wait, he moved Giroux to wing, he is the best coach ever, that's some Scotty Bowman-esque genius right there. - jmatchett383
You can firmly believe that but there is no basis for it. A big reason the Flyers got into the playoffs was the development of young players such as Patrick and Konecny. Hakstol deserves part of the credit for it. Same as making key strategy changes for the team such as switching to a 1-2 forecheck. That worked for the Flyers. Moving Giroux, the franchise player from center to wing came with some risk. Blowing it off and not giving him credit for that move just shows a clear bias.

I like how people keep saying Gudas and Weise are going to be gone when they're still under contract. Elliott and Neuvirth will be the goalie tandem next season too. Maybe they buy out Lehtera but I kind of doubt it.
