Seriously you are arguing about how good a player is that has 12 points in three years and was a healthy scratch multiple times this year . By the way Gaunce is 6'3

I have been putting my work in. I don't tunnel vision in on someone who has a couple of inches over a better overall player. Some people have a long history of that on here.

I think you are confused. That is part of the Bouchard discussion.

I prefer Leipsic and Motte over Gaunce so that theory is shot to hell

Seriously Vantel. Rewind. You've mixed up two discussions into one and are lost.

When was Gaunces size being discussed????

Sutter is a much better player than Gaunce.
Sutter is a shutdown guy that can actually score.
If Gaunce ever scores 15g in one season i'd be blown away.
I don't dislike Gaunce, i think he's a decent 4th liner, but poor comparison imo.

I think Sutter is going to step up this year as a team leader . I expect better things from him and the rest of the team . Before it was the Sedins team and players let them do the leading . I want to see who steps up now.

I think he is what he is(a shutdown forward who plays in your bottom 6.

Gaunce is a poor man’s 4th line version of him(I know he’s a W but I mean value-wise).

I know 4 attacking lines is the end goal, but until this team is deep enough for that, I’d much rather have him on the 4th line over scrubs who get lit up by other teams.

Having them on the same line as a shutdown line is a pretty good option.

This was my original comment his time is running out . When the team gets deep enough, he will be replaced unless his productivity increases. He sat out multiple games this year and was being replaced with Dowd Boucher Leipsic and Motte . It looks like Travis Green wants more out of him too other than shut down.

Granlund can bring what he brings at the same cost and score more .

I get a kick outta some of commenters when you say you dont like a player, you get accused of being a size guy, or lack of, or you are opposed to players from x country, or only like Canadians or only like defensive/offensuve players etc.
How about maybe some just dont like some players that others like. We all look for different qualities in players and hedge a lot of our opiniins on that...simple stuff.😁

I used to feel the same way, but watching how important speed is this year and in the playoffs, i'm rethinking this.

Of those mentioned, i'd happily move on from Gagner and probably Granlund.
i'd put Dahlen in the AHL.
I'd like to make room for Baer, goldy, Leipsic.
Motte i'm on the fence with.

Overall, i want more speed.
move on from the dino's.

- dbot

Don't have to trade them for old, slow guys. Trade them for guys who play a slightly different role. More size and grit plus maybe a better net presence would be helpful if the player still has enough speed and finish. Pettersson and Dahlen are coming to provide more euro-skill. Let's add some quality north american heart to complement that.

i honestly haven’t watched enough tape on half of these guys to make an informed decision. In fact I’m still banking on Dahlin.

I know right. If his points over shadow the warts that much.... why isnt he considered the next Dahlen. Truth is the scouts that have him in the top 10 are getting looked at by many as controversial in a small way. To me, that means higher gamble taking him in the top 7 over much better Dmen who are still high end on the offense. Hughes can skate and do it all... Boqvist has one of the best shots in the draft class. Both can do it in the O end or join the rush with their speed. Both are very defensive aware as well. Bouchards lack of speed will be glarinbg once he leaves junior.
- boonerbuck

Come on now. Hughes is weak in his own end and worst of all he doesn't acknowledge that he needs to improve his shortcomings. Boqvist? I don't like him but I need to see him more to have an informed opinion. Every defensman in this draft has weaknesses with the exception of Dahlin. Dobson is very well rounded as well.

True in the end I like who like. I’m still upset over Ehlers and Sergachev. #neverforget

I wanted Fleury in 2014 and Tkachuk or Jost in 2016, but was fine with either Juolevi or Sergachev.

I know lots of guys are still upset over Ehlers and Nylander but what I seen from Jake this year gives me hope . He has incredible speed and many times at the end of the year he was Canucks best player.I hope the progress continues and this year he hits the 15 goal mark

WE should ever had Laine but got shafted in the lotto. This could be our year. A couple more weeks and we will find out.
