Elliott walked as a UFA
And I’m not sure the exact breakdown,
but he was splitting time with Allen at that point
He was their starter in the playoffs that year though if i remember right

I meant when he was with Avs but im not sure he was their starter

I guess you'd call me a "supporter". He's an average goalie. I don't know why a team like the Flyers did not take a run at him.

Supporter as in,
“Wants him back as our starter next year”

The AVs?
Wasn’t he with Ottawa before StL?

I really hope we do start mccarron this year no matter who gets drafted. Was never a fan of throwing rookie qbs to the wolves.
- TheHank

I used to share that opinion
Lately though, seems like the way to go is to start them more & more
Even if they take their lumps as a rookie like Wentz & Goff, seems to help their development

I guess it should be situational though
A guy like Rosen is ready to start,
whereas Allen has no business on the field right away

I think what sold it for the Giants was Peterman. They must want a ton of picks

Looks like he was non-tendered, but only started 12 games there, so he was probably #2. Pretty close, but we may be breaking new ground here!

If it means keeping next year's #1 then you regretfully trade McCoy
- Slump Buster

Agree
Especially since i see us taking a step back

Just puts whoever our QB is in a rough spot

I know he was traded mid season so depending on when i guess you might be able to say he was the "1B" there or something. But yeah this has to be a first. I think part of what makes ground breaking is he got such an undeserved raise on RFA status at such a short term.

Kinda like "yeah we know you suck but your numbers were decent so here's a bump in pay until you're exposed and we finally have the right optics to toss your ass to the curb".

first to the 31st, first to unqualify a starter. Botts is truly making his mark

Damn, that’s right
Totally forgot

I think Elliott wasn’t very good for them though
Or maybe that was when they traded for Varlamov and let Elliott walk?

That had to be like 5yrs ago
It’s all hazy to me

- gerbe75pts

At this point,
i think a 3rd for Lehner is the best we could hope for

yeah of course, i was mostly kidding. Honestly as bad as it's been, I'll take this over the miracle runs to 9th everyday.

Holy crap was that the cringiest thing ever. Listening to people talk about how Marcus Foligno was the next iginla. How this was finally the year Darcy Regier would acquire Bobby Ryan to put us over the top. How Jordan Leopold was actually an upgrade over Tallinder/Lydman. The "big win" against the leafs late in the season (they lost to them 2 nights later) turned into a montage with the (frank)ing goo goo dolls "better days".

My god it was the most pathetic thing i've ever seen.

So this deal might just be for real:

**3 Way Deal Giants, Browns and Bills!

Darnold on his way to becoming a Bill!

Once this trade was agreed on last week, the Bills packed up their sh!t and headed to So Cal last Friday.....

I don’t wanna trade up for Darnold

Yeah?
I’d think someone will trade us something for him

Don’t like the idea of just letting him walk
(Even though i don’t want him here)

The acquiring team would have to qualify him at 4 million. They'd probably rather keep their pick and just offer him a 1/1 deal or something like that

They almost have to go that route. If they qualify him, he might accept, and that's a risk we can't take.

Your going to be sad when he's elite ...

But there's zero chance at Sam so back to Rosen , Mayfield or bust
