Have admit i'm a fan of a great offence is the best defense .

But.. Time for some stats in the win column . They count , not GA or SA.

Hellabuck lead the league in wins at 44. Most by a US goalie ever. Wins matter. that's the stat

it works on one side of the arena for 20 minutes, then it doesn't for the next 20

both lights have this problem, only 1 works at a time

Lots of season tickets are held by companies and written off. Not just the suites

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet still back-reading but wanted to respond to this comment. I think things might change a little with businesses paying for Boxes or Season Tickets given what the new Tax Law has included regarding Deductions (writing things off). Before you could right tickets off but now Businesses can't. They can't write-off any type of "Entertainment" anymore.

Actually, this article can explain it better than I can:

I just wanted to point this out in case it hasn't been mentioned or people didn't know.

It is kind of funny, but if you think 86 total hits in a game means physicality isn't at least a little important I don't know what to tell you.

I'm not saying it's the be all end all, and I'm not saying if you out hit the other team you'll win, but physicality is a big part of playoff hockey, it just is. It's undeniable. The lowest total hits in that thread are 44.

I picked a random game, closed my eyes and scrolled and came up with Sharks Knights on 2/8/18 total hits in the game 28 18-10 Vegas, and they won 5-3.

I picked another random game, Hawks Wild 11/4/17 Chicago won 2-0. Wild led hits 19-8.

2 fairly random games, interestingly one fairly early and one closer to the end than the beginning. Only 1 total hit separated the 2. hitters won 1. But the lowest playoff game so far on that thread had nearly twice as many hits, the highest was 3 times as many.

I'm always skeptical when it comes to hit numbers. It's so arbitrary that I hate to even call it a stat.

They are semi-arbitrary, but a two-fold increase is mighty hard to ignore. If it was like 32 hits to 28, then sure. But often the losing team is throwing more hits than the total in regular season.

The intensity is definitely dialed up a notch, but I think that goes for the guy recording hits too! Plenty of regular season games where I don't think he's even watching or being a complete homer.

This isn't at all what I am saying. At all. Trying to add to Oreilly would be speeding it up. I want him gone for younger assets with the potential to make real impacts, before he becomes untradable or our 3rd center in 2 years.
