I would never consider giving Carlsson 7M per year what an absolute waste of cap. He's good, but not 7M good. When you go that high you might as well go after Dougthy for 9-10M next year.

Leafs' best bet to make a significant upgrade on D before the season starts without selling the farm is to try to pry someone out of Carolina at the draft, I think.

His 4.6 million dollar cap hit and modified NTC over the next 4 seasons doesn't mesh with the Shanaplan unfortunately.

Leafs' best bet to make a significant upgrade on D before the season starts without selling the farm is to try to pry Alzner from MTL at the draft, I think.
