Phone or in person?
- Atomic Wedgie

Do they do in-person during the playoffs? I think I read it's phone.

If they are going to base Kadri's suspension off of mind reading, I don't see how this could be deemed worthy of any less than that suspension. There was nothing remotely close to making this a "hockey play" and the stick didn't even ride up, it was a straight shot to the head.

I'm guessing two games even though that's not enough.

I should add, I'd think two would be reasonable if he also received a 5 + ejection. He didn't so it should be 3 minimum.

Is the question, "what should he get?" or "What do we think the NHL will actually give him?"

Because these are two very different questions.

No suspension, because there was no penalty on the play.

Yes, the NHL is this franking pathetic.

How could it possibly of been an accident, what else could he have been trying to do?
- david22

Same as every other d out front...pretty sure he figured Staal would be coming at him also...except Staal went the other way. No way he blatantly crosschecks the guy in the face. IMO

I don't see any way you cross check a guy in the head by accident, particularly when they're 6 foot 4 like staal. Regardless of what way you think staal is going.

Redmond is brutal, but doesn't hide it. I disagree about Tripp completely. He is a Carolina guy, and he makes no qualms about that. BUT, he also praises the other team, and he is fair in his assessment of the Canes' play. I think him and John are in the top three in the league as far as broadcast teams go.
- hscesq

I couldn't disagree more. Tripp is the least knowledgeable guy in the business and pretty homerish.

Have you seen his intermission "debates"? It's hysterical. He has absolutely no clue what he's talking about. And before the other guy even gets to rebuttal, Tripp says "I rest my case, 'cause I know I'm right" (he was also wrong). That's something that actually happened.

The play-by-play calling is good, I'm not gonna argue that.

I personally believe Jack Edwards to be one of the more impartial and less homeristic announcers out there. Sure he errs in hyperbole, but other than that he is quite entertaining and usually spot on with his....

They'll have the hearing to show they did "something" then hit him with the ol' maximum allowable under the CBA.

i feel like it's going to be in the 0-5 range.

i'm not going to try and narrow it down more than that.

I hate when Brickley is giving an objective opinion on a play and Edwards just poops his pants and screams over him.

Once upon a time, Boom Boom Geoffrion did colour commentary analysis I don't know what the frank to call it for kickboxing/mixed martial arts.

It was the most bizarre thing I've ever seen - he had no idea what the frank he was talking about. They would just make stupid jokes about not being able to kick in hockey fights and Boom Boom would then say vague compliments about each fighter.

It was really franking weird.

It's (frank)ing terrible. Sometimes it's fun to laugh at him, but usually it's just downright annoying.

I can't wait for him to be replaced. Even if you found him funny or entertaining as a Boston fan, which I did not, it's just getting old at this point.

No Komarov for Game 4..

I think that means the series will be tied 2-2.
