Maf only waived his nmc for Vegas so... no
- ChrisMS

I think it was a done deal with MAFs mrs going to Vegas to check out schools etc. Would he have waived to go the Philly? I certainly have no idea although I remember a rumour Vegas were going to trade him there. So I'm not sure how you can say a difinitive no to MAF to Philly?

The Flyers are without a top winger, too!?!? Which one?
- jmatchett383

Well that's Giroux dummy. Because Giroux now has to play C if Courts can't play!

Couple of surprises in the blog - & I did enjoy reading the blog.

1. Reaves wasn't hammered first then again a little later to really nail home the point Gunner thinks very little of a guy that's played how many NHL games?

2. Sexual harassment?? I hope Marchands team mates told him to pull his head in after that, but I wouldn't go as far to say it was sexual harassment imo.

Yes, it's absolutey impossible for Fleury to waive for another team if JR got a trade offer after the season and Fleury was also interested in going there

Totally impossible

You're right....

Fact is, JR was getting calls and he was saying "no thanks" because he had already made "The Pledge" with McPhee

McPhee didn't eat (and pay) 4 Million dollars of Brassards Salary for Reaves an a 4th

A 4th doesn't "cost" 4 million.

- TheGame316

No the fact is on your part. The facts. Maf agreed to waive for Vegas and no one else. His family was looking at homes in Vegas after the cup run. Maf did them a favor and gmjr honored it. You are full of bologna.

And yes he did. Not his money. Original nixed deal had no reaves. Pure pick buy

Marchand should have missed half the season for what he did to Johansson. I guarantee if he misses 40 games, he won't play that way anymore.
- madmike71

He actually got suspended for 5 games this season (Wooo, that showed him), but he was still allowed to go to the All-Star game and take part in the skills competition. He was the only player I've seen who had the time of his life while being suspended.

"Future Considerations" is always a thing that may or may not be written into a trade. It could have been apart of the Vegas deal as a mini handshake of "if in a trade we need someone to get us a bit of cap breathing room, we can float you a pick to eat the cap before you start near maxing in a few years". That'd be far from unthinkable in this day and age.

Ugh... I was hoping them to come back and win the series... I have a friend who is now security at PPG Paints Arena... said he might be able to get me an Orpik autograph on my jersey.

I didn't watch much of the previous 2 games, but I gotta say Panarin is so dynamic. Amazing player.

On the other hand, there's nobody on the Caps playing anywhere close to that level. I keep waiting for OV or Backstrom to take over a shift and nothing happens. Caps look like they're just waiting to lose.

I really want the Caps to win 'cause I don't think they have the legs or skill to hang with the Pens over 7 games.

I'm getting to the point where I'm starting to feel bad for him. This is his 100th playoff game and he has 94 points so far yet he seems to take most of the blame. He's no leader, but man has he seen the guys around him collapse on the playoffs year after year.

I'd probably feel bad for him but some of his biggest failures have come at the hands of the Penguins.

seriously.

guys who put up much less numbers are lauded for being playoff studs. i think a lot of the criticism levied to him is unwarranted.

thennnn i remember the OV xbox player controller gift and im conflicted.

Couturier is a centre not a winger. Shouldn’t the Penguins be your choice to win it all? If not go write the Nashville blog please. Has Nashville gotten that much better? Nashville has to play Winnipeg next round and those 2 teams are going to beat the crap out of each other. The Sharks only have to play Vegas and are dominating their series against the Ducks. The Sharks will make quick work of the battered winner of the Jets/ Preds series. I said all along Sharks vs Pens and I’m sticking to that.

Nope, they actually moved Patrick up at practice.

So it was Couturier he meant? In that case, what's the status of backup goaltender Patric Hornqvist?

He's requiring some treatment on his glove hand.

It's all smoke & mirrors. Courts will play.

How has young Patrick gone this season to date?
