Outworked and out hustled in all 3 zones. Soft goals are what they are and losing to the defending champs is one thing. But being consistently out worked, losing every puck battle and showing no pulse or, for that matter, any semblance of actually having a pair, is just sickening.

Laughton wasn't a Wheat King I am pretty sure about that.

I think what I fear most of is next year knowing how Hakstol and Hextall have been working the team and line ups is not a lot will change. I can entirely see most the same players back outside of Read and Filp. If Gudas/Manning/Amac are all under contract next year I foresee them being on this team next year and playing regularly. I see Lehtera being a regular next year. This organization likes to remain consistent with veteran players over rookies.

This is why I miss the old man....I’m not sure there’s any pressure on Hextall....current ownership seem on board with this patient approach. I think after 2-3 years it becomes a bit of a joke....just because you choose not trade young assets doesn’t mean you get a pass on this (frank)ing awful product you continue to roll out....

I was really surprised they moved Lehtera back to center at the end of the year and Read becomes a vital part of the team after the rosters expand after being buried in the AHL. It s these type of personnel decisions that make me wonder what the plan is. I won't even try and figure out Hagg couldn't get back in the lineup when Sanheim earned his spot,
