Agree. That's why that viewpoint is nonsense.

You're entitled to your opinion but it is misguided. Feel free to make a case of why that viewpoint is nonsense.

Actually you didn't make any point, you just called something nonsense. You also stated in your original post " but to think he deliberately stuck out his leg to catch Coot's knee is nonsense", which shows how off base you are. Nobody that I'm aware of including myself thinks that Gudas hit Couturier intentionally.

I dunno man..
that just looks like a hockey play to me..
It sucks but couldnt you also make the case that Coots should have just side stepped him and he was facing forward..

the point is I dont think you can blame anyone in it.
Just sucks.

i blame Coburn. If he wasnt so bad that we needed to trade him we would have never gotten gudas and this would have never happened

I can see you’re upset, but come on. Accidents happen in practice all the time. I don’t know how you can blame Gudas for an accident. If you really need to blame someone, how about the coaches who decided to run simultaneous drills so close to each other?

I agree with MJL. Gudas was negligent here.

The onus is on Gudas due to the nature of the drill. If he were aware of his surroundings he would’ve known to let that puck go.

They run drills like that in pre-game warm ups. It absolutely was an accident. I blame Gudas because in my opinion he was careless which is what led to the accident in my opinion.

What's obvious is that you didn't look at the video well enough.

If you did, you couldn't claim Gudas to be asinine, turn and throwing a hip check, or careless.

If you looked at the video closely before judging Gudas as reckless, you would've observed that a moment before impact, Radko moved to his right - not to throw a hip check at Coots, carelessly or otherwise, but to collect a pass.

I know Gudas is multi-talented, but for me to believe he had the ability to shift to his right to accept a pass and throw a hip check at the same time, then you're looking to blame him unreasonably for something no more than an unfortunate accident.

Have at it. I can’t tell from the clip that I saw if Gudas was careless. Looked like an accident to me. Hard to see if someone is coming from behind you when you’re skating backwards. I was always concerned about crashing into someone or getting hit by a puck during warmups or practice. poop happens.

Actually I watched the video about 5 times. Gudas turned his body and skated directly into Couturier's path, turning his back to Couturier. Couturier due to it not being a game situation was casually skating with the puck. You're fixated on the term hip check which is not used to suggest that Gudas intentionally went to hit Couturier but rather simply to illustrate what his body position was when the contact was made. It is an unfortunate accident but Gudas was clearly careless and caused the accident in my opinion. Gudas went far too wide into Couturier's path to accept the pass in the drill.

Gudas looked to be skating backwards and was about to accept a pass when the collision happened. I really can't lay blame to anyone there.

I fixated on the term "hip check" because that's how you referenced it.

Skating "far too wide" is a reach to try and make your point.

That all said, we can both agree is was both unfortunate and an accident and hope he can rub it off.

GFY JACKWAGON. Take your lovers Crosby and Malkin. You know we just lost the most important guy on our roster for this series and you come in here and are an asshat. They say Philly has classless fans. You sir prove the cess pool that is Pens fans.

Yes, that is how I referenced it because that's exactly what it looked like. You obviously in error mistook that for stating that it was intentional. Skating far too wide is not a reach it's what caused the accident. That was carelss on his part.
