Ghost is having a brutal game

Idk about that the forward Corp can’t do squat against the not great defensive pens. They have 4-5 guys that can play up front and that’s about it.

If you really see tho, the main issue is the breakouts are not there, our forwards are always having to chase down the pucks because the defense are usually under pressure or their first instincts are to bang it hard off the boards to get it out to relieve pressure because they get hemmed in a lot. how many times you see Provy or Ghost moving the puck up themselves making plays, getting it into the offensive zone or skating it out of their end? Then look at the rest how often are their passes off the boards, dumped in to the offensive zones or turnedover in the neutral zone?
You look at the Pens, not a great defensive team on D, but they move the puck out of their end fast and on the forwards tape. It to me is the biggest issue holding this team back.

It was a PP goal and Manning, after unsuccessfully trying to block the crossing pass, was woefully out of position and facing the wrong way on the shot.

I will say that he has let games get out of hand a lot this season. Never uses a time out. Never. My biggest complaint about him.

As much as you want to say it's manning, it's lehtara, it's read.....how about simmonds, voracek, Elliott, gostisbehere show up. Giroux had been quiet on a mist win night. Very disappointing effort. If missing couturier makes this team look this bad then he should be hands down the some winner for his defensive game. They look lost in their own zone. Actually everywhere.
