Im all for piling on Elliot but 2 of the 3 goals in this game he had no chance on.

There's a big difference between a slash and what Simmonds did. It was stick on stick play with Simmonds effectively preventing the clear. That's a bad call in my view. So was the call on Read. Two players were battling, both should've went. The Pens player hooked Read who then grabbed and held his stick.

Bottom 6 forward speed has been lacking all season, it really shows up in the playoffs. Vet experience is over rated when you can't keep up with the play.

He was at least partially responsible for getting these players into the playoffs.
