If you want any chance at making this series competitive without coots you would have to move G back to center wouldn't you? - ajw12
I was thinking the same thing. |

Logic says yes, but my gut tells me they are gonna roll Patrick, Filp, Laughton and Lehtera as their 4 centers and that spells disaster. |

They can trade him for a used jockstrap for all I care at this point!!! - BiggE
I know! Wth was that? Obviously not on purpose but a little careless I'd say. I can't see how he won't be out long term. Definitely a 5 game series now. |

Thanks for the link, holy it looked totally accidently but man did Gudas took his knees out from the side, did not look good one bit. Couts throwing his stick says a 1000 words. What was Gudas even doing on that side when drills are coming both ways? - joegreif17
They were running simultaneous drills. |

Less then a well designed drill, to have those two so close to each other |

At this point I’m just hoping the injury isn’t significant enough to the point where it carries over to next season. 😭 |

It could be something along the lines of a sprain, where he can play with a brace.
Or it could be a charlie horse.
Nobody knows yet. |

I normally don't react like this but Gudas is a dam jackass! Completely unaware of his surroundings. In a practice drill no less. Asinine. |

I'm hoping for just a bruise.
But, it's the Flyers, so it will likely be something that keeps him out for the rest of this season and limits him as a player for the rest of his career. |

It could be a bruise but you know when you are hurt badly usually and Couts throwing the stick how he did isn't a great indication that it isn't serious. Not a lot too go off but it just doesn't look that good to begin with. I fully expect Couturier not to be playing tomm. If Hak doesn't put Giroux back on center he's a complete idiot in my books and is basically forefitting the rest of this series. If they have Filppula , Laughton and Lehtera as centers 2, 3 and 4 they are going to get demolished |

I dunno man..
that just looks like a hockey play to me..
It sucks but couldnt you also make the case that Coots should have just side stepped him and he was facing forward..
the point is I dont think you can blame anyone in it.
Just sucks. |

Tough break if Couts is hurt....unfortunately this stuff happens. Couts was going at a pretty good clip. Didn’t look good....hopefully a bruise. |

Couturier has no obligation to be aware of his surroundings? Everything was in front of him. Yes Gudas was to the side but he should have been in his peripheral |

What I see is a player in Couturier, expecting a player to be under control instead of turning and basically throwing a hip check into his knees and turning his back to Couturier. Couturier didn't side step him because it wasn't a game situation where he would be expecting contact. He's just working up a sweat there.

If Coots is out, how can Hak not move G back to center. I mean, come on, he's really gonna make Filppula the 2C and play him 20 minutes or so against Crosby or Malkin.
Then again, WGAF, if Coots is out, they are done anyway.
I hate everything right now.
