Russo, used to be a wild beat writer. Now works for the Athletic. I think he has the inside track on what's going on with the Wild. - tomburton99
I saw the alert first through Tessier, and only commented on it here with Tessier's injury length words, after seeing Jimbo just posting it slightly earlier, but in being out for a lengthier 6 to 8 weeks period instead.
It's not like Tessier was in Alaska when he reported his news of it as well.
It's from WHO and WHEN up there in Minnesota that both writers were able to obtain their MOST RECENT information from, of which I'm sure they both felt was thee latest accurate word there on it.
How did those recent reports on Kovalchuk's status change so fast?????
It's from WHO and WHEN buddy. So as of now in being a distant looker, I cannot venture to guess who's injury length reporting on Parise is the most accurate or closer one. Even Zach Parise likely doesn't even know himself for sure. |

Are you a blogger/novelist/dr? - nyrangers9479
Did you catch Jimbo's ACCURATE words he wrote today on the prior blog as to that situation in how Miller and Namestrikov switched uniforms AS PART OF the McDonagh trade?
Go and read it, and put away forever your own FICTIONAL words on it in your own fictional novel to stack its only copy produced, on your own personal bookcase only.
I'm sure that's the reason why you did not either or both, reply to Jimbo's today there, or make any other new comment at all there (at least until now) on that prior blog regarding that matter. |

If it is a knee injury, it is at minimum an MCL one in nature, in which his knee would swell excessively and be sprained, but if at mid to serious grade in severity, would also be partially torn at the least. That would require complete rest for the least involved of the remedies. - RangerSaver

You hope it’s just a charley horse but that looked really ugly. Watched it a few times. Sure looked close to knee to knee. Odd drill to be doing in practice or else someone screwed up the drill - airjan23
Two different starting points for this drill. The defensemen are starting around the center ice circles and the forwards are doing there rushes around the outside up and down the boards, and supposed to make a semi circle and come in on the D, it's fairly common drill but if you don't have your head up.. crap like this happens, and its usually pretty bad because nobody is expecting someone in their lane when the drill starts so they arent looking. The problem is Couterier had his head down (and up his ass) and drifted into where the D was starting their portion of the drill. |

But who was swapped? The deal was in place but Yzerman wouldn’t do it (I would have called his bluff) until Miller and Namestnikov were swapped. |

BJ's during a full game and 20 minute OT have faced almost as many shots as the Rangers did in most regular season games. |

The MVP thus far of the 2018 playoffs is Marc Andre Fleury, after the Knights in their first year as an NHL franchise, swept the Kings, making them the first NHL team to ever achieve that feat in year one.
Fleury in the 4 games allowed a total of only 3 goals on 130 Shots On Goal Faced, for both an unheard of 0.75 G.A.A., and an even greater .977 SAVE%.
Martin Jones of the Sharks is a close 2nd, although having more Goals For to aid him, with his 3-0 record thus far, and an also unheard of 1.00 G.A.A. & .970 SAVE % in making 98 saves on 101 Total Shots On Goal in the Sharks' first 3 games played.
Despite the Panthers only missing this postseason by 1 point to the Devils, I wonder how Panthers management feels now in mistakenly firing Gerard Gallant, and in the way they did so, in making him the scapegoat of the prior season's Panthers team in 2016/17.

Contracts and injuries....
- tomburton99
Through this current 1:30 am Wednesday, both NBCSN and NHL Network still also have Parise listed as being sidelined on a "WEEK TO WEEK" basis only as well, as Tessier had reported, which was when I first became alerted of his injury's time length extent, in noting it here on Tuesday.
It's from WHO and WHEN in time that any reporter may be given the latest accurate news of any kind on someone or whatever, in any matter in life. |

Read Larry Brooks article on Monday, April 16th entitled, "The Rangers' Other Trade Chip Found Hockey Heaven", as well as just the key words quoted there by Jimbo very early Tuesday morning on the prior blog there to see the REAL TRUE facts.
Next, try to comprehend in chronological order as if you were an NHL GM, to see the reason for Yzerman holding up an earlier perceived trade for McDonagh going down, and what Gorton had to do to make it happen.
In the end, 2016 defenseman prospect in Tampa's #37 overall pick of 2016, in Libor Hajek would not be a Ranger without them parting with Miller IN THE TRADE THAT SENT MCDONAGH TO TAMPA.
So it wasn't also like you claim wrongly, "a separate one for one trade of Miller for Namestnikov". Also, McDonagh would still be a Ranger instead of Hajek, had Miller not been included as well. Why so? Since there was no other team left interested in McDonagh during Gorton's February "SELLOFF", who had ENOUGH SUITABLE ASSETS THEY WERE WILLING TO PART WITH other than the Lightning. Boston was no longer in, and Toronto never really ever was in any serious talks at all. |

3 goals in four games is a pretty brutal showing. I will say this, however, throughout his career when Marc-Andre Fleury is on, he's a great goaltender. He's just one of those guys that bounces back and forth between elite and atrocious play, and there isn't much of an in between with him.

MAF is a real headcase. Fortunately things have gone exceptionally well in Vegas. If they weren't this good, he wouldn't be as stable. |

Sure, but he's part of the reasons why things have gone so good, a big part.

There's no question that if not for Fleury Vegas wouldn't be in the playoffs. I'm referring to his meltdowns in Pitt. |
