I was really surprised about Hedmans love tap at the end of the game. That seemed very uncharateristic of him, given his playstyle and how he usually stays cool headed. Hopefully next game, we tone down on the penalties and score some even strength goals.

Game day. Stay out of the box and play the road game tight and come home up 3-1. Don’t let them back in anymore then they got with a win on Monday. Time for Stammer and Kuch to go north south and show up besides a PP

I won't be able to watch tonight's game due to plans. If the Lightning are going to put up another dumpster fire like the last game, then not watching it is a good thing for me. But, with my luck, this will be the game of the year. LOL.

Friggin Golden Knights blew my bracket. LOL.

I keep waiting for them to fall to Earth, but they keep over-achieving. BTW, the LA Kings are obviously done as a perennial Cup contender.

I mean that was a given, they have 3 solid forwards in a league that is getting faster and more skilled ever year. That team isnt built for todays NHL its build for 5-10 years ago. Doughty and Quick cant make up for the fact that they cant score to save there lives.

I never followed the Kings very closely, so I was uninformed about the current state of their team - beyond taking a peak at them when the Lightning were playing them.

I just didn't expect LA to fold so quickly and get swept. I thought this would go to 6 or 7 games.

Honestly, the Vegas situation is getting a bit scary. Looking at their roster, there is no rational explanation for why they are kicking so much ass. Fleury has never been a true elite goalie (although he did pretend to be one), and 90% of their roster is guys who just don't jump off the paper at you for any reason. I think Vegas will learn what the 2011 Lightning and 2017 Senators learned - hard work and hustle only get you so far without some elite talent on the team - and the 2011 Lightning arguably had that. (although to be fair, that Boston game 7 was an officiating joke and likely cost the Bolts the game).

I have them losing to the jets in my bracket for that reason, they are a hard checking team with elite scoring talent. The kinds are a hard check team with little to no scoring talent outside of kopitar/carter/doughty.

I think NJD fans forgot how physical playoff hockey is... Never has anyone described the lightning as a dirty team, but yet they all think we are a team full of Marchands running around trying to cheap shot there hole team because we are pushing the envelop physically. Playoff hockey is a fine line between getting ran over for being to soft and taking penalties for going to far. The lightning have done a good job bringing the physical play to the devils thus far, occassionally crossing the line which happens in any series but if you can dominate physically the ice seems to open up.

Oh god... listening to the NJ fanbase whine like little girls is hilarious for a team that employed Scott Stevens for so long.

Team gets, what, 7 PPs last night and apparently the refs are out to get them?

Drink in the tears, boys.

I think it’s time for the Devils and their fans to be renamed “The Jersey Girls”.

Darren Dreger on twitter said no hearing for Kucherov as the main point of contact was shoulder/chest.

exactly.

I think we won last night because miles wood took the night off, he was not working hard out there.

where is the guy who originally posted this anyway? he was pretty loud before the series started, been silent ever since.

I haven't seen him on our board but I think he is posting on the Devils board. He was adamant that playing hard would lead to a sweep in 4 for the Devils. I can't forget that guy's post.

I happen to like the Devil's style of play but they don't have the Depth and Skill of the Lightning and it shows.

if boyler wants to keep trying to ragdoll our rookies i'd say it's time for paquette or somebody to start going after hischier

but i know it won't happen. the bolts have a chance to end this series now and i expect to see their best game of the playoffs thus far. they know how important it is to sneak in a few short series early on in the playoffs.

I expect to see everyone on that team with focused vasilevskiy eyes on saturday.
